Good to hear. I will not go for Bosch updates anymore until there is something of real interest to me. This last one here is a joke. Not all is about more power. Avinox will introduce some kind of „heart rate driving mode“:Just installed the latest update, definately an April release date and no power increases. It does reset all of the ride modes though back to standard 600watt and 85nm
Yes interesting, with several different settings, "mild pain, "heat attack", "death"!Avinox will introduce some kind of „heart rate driving mode“:
I think my Levo SL2 had something like this. Never used it though, so I am unsure.Didn't Specialized have this heart rate controlled assistance on the Levo gen 2/3? Did anyone even use it?
Release the (upgrade) files already Bosch!
Seems like they are pretty quickly losing their foothold on the emtb market.Zee Germans don't do anything quickly.
Hey, hey……hey……………waaaaaaiiiiiiit………Zee Germans don't do anything quickly.
Increased torque wouldnt help one bit anyways. (Even 85nm is too much)So acc ording to a commenter on PB the gen 5 will got to 120NM but remain at 750w. Assistance factor will go to 600% though (from 400% currently). I guess Bosch painted themselves into a corner pushing so hard with the 750w max crusade.
That Ibis isn't as ugly as the old one, but it's still not pretty either. The Oso Launch basically confirmed the update .
I'm sorry for hacking the thread but looking at it compared to the Zendit, the super thin downtube fades away a bit when put side to side .
I know its 600wh vs 800 wh but for Bosch you can do the powermore trick when needed.

Bosch needs to channel the spirit of blitzkrieg (in a positive wayZee Germans don't do anything quickly.
Bosch controls most city ebikes.Bosch needs to channel the spirit of blitzkrieg (in a positive way) to catch up and stay in the discussion for the next year as I would not be surprised if Avinox starts to churn out annual hardware and software updates that aim to leave the competition behind.
I don’t know… Blitzkrieg comes to mind.Zee Germans don't do anything quickly.

I agree that if they want to get spec on bikes with Sram, that would be a no-brainer. Having said that, my understanding is that they offer the same type of functions already with Shimano Di2 so if you are flexible on your component brand then Bosch bikes can have the derailleur powered by the ebike battery, along with coast shift, auto power reduction during shifts, etc... Just wanted to remind anyone who wasn't aware of that. They better at least integrate sram wireless shifting like dji has, or they're pretty much driving themselves to the cemetery.
This update was a waste of time.
Just wanted to add that the Bosch CX Gen 5 already supports SRAM derailleurs powered directly by the e-bike battery. For some reason this isn't always implemented, but for instance, my Trek Rail+ 9.8 GX has it. Currently, Bosch hasn't released the Auto Shift or Coast Shift features for SRAM, but hopefully these will be added some day via a future software update.I agree that if they want to get spec on bikes with Sram, that would be a no-brainer. A couple of people can do this remotely for you useing bosch dealer software for less than 50 euros.Unfortunately not on a bosch gen 5 equipped yeti lteand I've yet to find a lbs showing any real interest or will to do what I'd like, activate the spare power ports for a front light and the rear sram derailleur. Might well be that none are yeti dealers
and due to the dealer I bought the bike not dealing with yeti anymore, my nearest yeti dealer is 2.5-3 hours away.
I know that the industry magazines are testing the update, this is what they assured me, they did not specify the power which is presumed to be 120Nm.
Is this the update that was teased on Bosch's insta? Seems to match up wtih the language. It will be pretty funny if Bosch does not in fact release a power update with all these rumors
Meanwhile I've been bitching and moaning to Avinox support day in and day out for 18mo+ to get them to:Bosch needs to channel the spirit of blitzkrieg (in a positive way) to catch up and stay in the discussion for the next year as I would not be surprised if Avinox starts to churn out annual hardware and software updates that aim to leave the competition behind.
Interesting that they would wait all the way until the end of May. Seems like they are not doing a very good job of keeping it secret. Wonder why they don't make an announcement.I saw the official numbers today, and it will be 120nm, 750w, with 600% assist and release date is 27 May.
