Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

181.2
Container ship is entering port today. Orders estimated to start shipping out to customers week of 4/20.
we'll see  I hope the container doesn't get stuck in port for weeks as they process stuff. Is T not air freighting the bikes like he did for the spectres last year?

Funny, AI sees 181.2 as no real improvement over my current ride.

Refining it is: Intend Flash 38, which will have a tough job matching the performance of Fox 38 + Smashpot and Avalanche.

I'll be canceling my preorder and making someone very happy.
Wow - who would listen to AI. Regarding riding a Mtb

He told me last week. They get delivered by Air !!

Ouch. Originally they were estimated to be shipping the end of March/early April.

Damn. Was hoping he already had them ready to ship out April 9 😂. Oh well. It’ll be worth the wait.

Maybe we will at least get @Rob Rides EMTB video review of it this week? That might make the waiting game even worse though lol.

Funny the different timelines. I was told they should have them on the 2nd, they would then be assembled and shipped between the 10th and 15th. We’ll see. Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait. 🤘🏻😎

When I was invited to join the family on January 10th , it did state the shipping was expected "early April"

Ouch indeed though.. feels like I ordered this thing years ago and the more time passes the longer it seems to take!!

Definitely the most expensive sight unseen and delivery unknown purchase of my lifetime. The only thing keeping me going is these threads and watching the same past Crestline clips time and time again!

Did you guys see Alden jump out the gate and run into a tree?! He qualified 3rd in that competition on an emtb with the e removed, pretty cool stuff seeing this thing has pace even without a motor!

I got that impression as well when I first spoke to T about it few weeks back. Perhaps not all frame sets delivered at same time. 700Wh batteries are delayed, Avinox missed shipment.

Is the 700wh an option for the plaid? I only saw it when the forged was released. Assume no official specs on it until the 9th?

In that same email it says at the bottom... "This drop will include 150 examples of each color, with shipping expected late March, early April 2026. Pre-orders are fulfilled strictly in the order they are received."

Whatever though... I ordered a Zeb with it so I wasn't expecting anything until after Sea Otter. Also I'm recovering from back surgery so I probably can't ride it until May anyway :poop:

Lets see, if I leave now, I could possibly make it to Bellingham by Thursday….
🤣View attachment 181091
When Transition released the Relay, I flew to Bellingham to pick it up. Rode BHam for 4 days, 1 day in Whistler, flew home with the bike, shipped the battery. one of my favorite bike trips.

Also, today I learned that I only like Bellingham bikes and wheels. LoL

I started wondering if I can fly there and plan an 1800+ mile journey to ride the Cresty home connecting trails along the way back to So Cal!

AI says I can do it, so it must be true...

Over here thinking about that new Fox 38, and realized I got my current 38 at REI 11 months ago...

They have a one year return policy for members, and I am thinking I may just bring it back and go for the new one!

Is this slimy or what they are all about? Has anyone done this?!

I have about 2 weeks for the return window, so may end up having to toss the old 36 on my Levo while waiting for the Cresty.. hmmm!

I plan on using my 38 (Grip2) off my Norco Range and throwing an MRP Lift damper in it for that new-new feeling.

Even if its well used? Thats wild, but if its their policy, its not slimy.

I bought mine in the summer and love the gx2 damper. Its the first fork I have feeling good in the chattery stuff while also being supportive on the flow/jump lines. Kind of blew me away.

That said, it was in for warranty work twice and they did replace the air spring this last time. All has been well since…

Think of it this way… if you return a well used 38, someone will get a good deal in the REI outlet 😂

Thanks gents, the REI stance is they want you to take the time needed to ensure you have the proper gear for your actual usage. And yeahp, they have the used gear to sell at a discount (30 day return policy on that stuff I think).

Long as you dont destroy stuff and clean it up for them they seem good to go but I have not done this with such a pricey part almost a year later.

I really am loving the current 38 as well, hence my thoughts of potential slime. However with the new fork coming out now and searching deep into my soul I definitely "feel" the new 38 is the right fork for me - this year at least!!

Return submitted, will follow up with the outcome for reference.

Reason: Uncomfortable

Now that the new Zeb has been released I’m hoping that moves up the shipping dates.
It sounds like the bikes aren’t in Bellingham yet, someone said they were still in port a few days ago so it will probably still be closer to middle / late April I’m guessing

Clearing the port is always an unknown as at the mercy of customs. I'm sure Troydon is pushing as hard has he can to get the goods cleared ASAP. It is what it is really!

I got an "Order has shipped" confirmation from my lbs where I ordered up the Crestliner this morning, and got super excited for one brief moment.. my heart was beating and my adrenaline started flowing..

However it was for the remote dropper post clamp that was on back order when I scooped it up a month ago that I totally forgot about!!!

The suspense is killing me here... 🤞

Thanks for this. I noticed you can also get the Industry 9 stem from Jenson for the 35% off AND free shipping (which you need to spend over $150 on i9 site to get shipping).

I like you're thinking!

Always love to match components when they work. And why not run a beefy Cascade Components Cockpit stem to compliment their suspension design and sexy frame linkage!

Of course they have black to go with the Plaid too, I am thinking about this one now too for sure!! (y)
Got one 35% discount and free shipping bling bling for Spring

Holy effin cow fellers, just got back from REI and they did some math with the return and their rewards (last year rewards go to this year now or something like that) and I ended up getting refunded $1233 of $1249 paid for almost a year ago!!

I had bought the fork there since at the time I could not find a deal on it and figured the rewards were the next best thing.

Turns out this seems like the best way to go, I still got my rewards applied as well from the purchase which I fully did not expect either!!

All in all I think they actually paid me a bit to use this thing for almost a year, I am so glad I went through REI when I did!!

^ someone sounds jealous that we have this level of service in our country!!

The employee surely did not treat me as such, and helped me with all due respect that their members get.

Forums dont quite work this way it seems unfortunately..!

Not to mention, they just got some great advertising out of the deal!
