Now that the 2026 Levo R is out, it feels like the conversation has naturally shifted to the rumored second model people keep bringing up — what everyone’s calling the Levo EVO. For anyone catching up: Specialized has not officially acknowledged a Levo EVO at all. The only confirmed 2026 release so far is the Levo R.

There have been forum threads about a “new Specialized ebike,” but nothing specifically naming an EVO. And even though Specialized often drops new bikes around Sea Otter, there’s nothing indicating an EVO debut at the 2026 event.

As for what’s circulating in the rumor mill:
I’ve heard the EVO is supposed to land around April or May, and it’s expected to be a longer‑travel version of the current platform. It would have a new shock length, and the word is there may be an upgrade kit so Gen 4 Levo owners can convert their bikes — basically a long‑shock, cascade‑link‑style setup, but cheaper and purpose‑built. None of this is confirmed, but the talk has been pretty consistent.

For me personally — being a former Kenevo owner and now on a Gen 4 Levo — I love the Gen 4 for what it is, but I definitely want a long‑travel option as a second bike. If the EVO ends up being a more aggressive, longer‑travel take on the platform without going full Kenevo, that would be exactly what I’m looking for.

Did Specialized miss the opportunity to come out with a bike called Evo Kenevo?

If anything real surfaces, this thread should help keep all the updates in one place.

I hope people took notes in the last ‘new Levo rumour’ thread on those who spouted utter BS claiming inside knowledge and pictures, and those who actually knew what they were talking about…

To be honest, those who actually know something concrete will have signed an NDA, so this thread will be just another wish list. As well as no doubt plenty of argument and comparison to you know what and highlighting a certain visual feature of the Gen 4 series so far. 🤷‍♂️

This reads like AI.

I can confirm to you right now that cheaper is not in specialized strategy, nor vocabulary at this stage.

Seriously though, had the levo gone up to 160 or even 170mm travel to begin with, I don't think it would have received half the weight comments. So I think a Levo EVO could have strong sales, unlike the R.

Since long travel forks is desirable how many has tried a 170-180 fork on the Levo 4?

Is the title correct ??

Maybe "Levo EVO Rumour Thread - Longer Wait Levo Coming?" - I mean, it was a hell of a long wait for the Gen4 .. but this will be longer still ..

Not sure the truth of this, but I heard the Levo Evo has a different frame than the Levo 4 and that the Evo link won’t fit a regular Levo 4 frame, bummed as I was hoping for an upgrade path that wouldn’t void the warranty.

My mindset is different with an eMTB than a traditional MTB. Because of battery degradation, increased complexity and part count; I feel ready to flip an eMTB a lot sooner. Plus technology changes faster with eMTB so I’l don’t plan on owning them for more than 2-3 years max anyway.
My upgrade path to Evo would look like me selling my 4. But I don’t see myself moving away from it until 2027.

I don't expect a frame change for the Levo Evo. The standard Levo is rated for a 180mm fork which was a pretty big hint at the time of release that there would be a long travel version at some point. I imagine it will likely just be a new shock linkage.

I dont care about any of the new versions but i like to watch the world burn by joining in these threads.

some start points for this one
1. my kenevo from 2023 is better (list reasons then say you'll never sell it)
2. Mention the bulky down tube
3. provide your reason why you dont need this and your current bike is amazing even though no one asked
4. list all the gnarly trails you hit and how you only ride DH so you need big travel bikes.
5. its too heavy my bikes lighter
6. the weight helps it keep traction
7. will they release a new kenevo?
8. i have good sources that specialized are going to (new motor from random brand, make a brand new bike)
9. my dealer said....

here we go round 3! levo evo!

My Levo is 170/170 and it’s magical. I smell something very similar. I’m actually interested to see how close I came to the Specialized design. To coil or aircan? We shall see

It seems clear they'll keep the Levo 4 frame with a 170/180 fork and a 230/65 shock to achieve 170mm of rear travel.

I'm betting on air suspension for greater progression and more customization options, as well as keeping the weight down.

A new linkage is essential to achieve this. It must be 100% compatible with the current frame.

I've also installed the Cascade Long Shock and I'm thrilled with the result…170/170mm!

By the way, high-volume air shocks like Vivid and X2 are incompatible with Cascade Long Shocks. The Ohlins air shock is compatible. At maximum compression, they rub against the frame.

Hey. Does anyone have any solid info regarding this Evo / long travel Levo ??? I’m in a position now to buy a Levo, but would be seriously disappointed if I pulled the pin, then Spesh drops an Evo.
Are they holding out as it may have the new new RS Zeb 3.2 and large can super deluxe ???

Nobody knows, and if they do, they can’t say unfortunately.

There’s a lot of rubbish posted on these Levo rumour threads, and I wouldn’t be making any buying decisions based on them.

There’s always something new in the pipeline though, buy what does the job for you now and then get out and ride and enjoy it is the way I do it. 👍

May I add a Thought
Oh put a 180 fork
Buy the cascade 170 rear linkage
Buy new shock for linkage
Maybe put the - front cap in
An hay a enduro gen4
These no need for specialized to make a enduro bike we already have one
Watch Sam’s bikes he did it on a video

If you read the Levo 4 manual, i believe it mentions or refers to a few specific long travel parts. I don’t remember the details, but this bike has been in the pipeline for a long time. 2nd year of production makes perfect sense.

I would expect the launch to happen near or at Sea Otter.

Did anyone see this in the latest specialized gravity video?
Probably a test mule, but interesting anyway.
Absolutely enormous downtube and hideous side loading battery so even if it was a new kenevo, i wouldn't be interested.

Perhaps it’s a character flaw of mine, but I absolutely love the idea that this would piss off those with the skinny downtube fettish. 🤣
Happened to be watching a video of an interview of a bike designer and his #1 need in eMTB was more range. Appears as though Specialized is seeing the same thing in their market research.

I’m going to go out in a limb..
I think, we have seen the largest downtube we will ever see.
1. Specialized can hear the feedback
2. Battery technology is going to change very quickly, more juice in smaller boxes.
Probably more reasons. I can’t think of.

The size of the downtube is a thing., a thing that is low on the my priority list. l will always be on the lookout for a removable battery, over downtube size all day.

Meaningful battery advancements coming to market are many years away. Nobody is designing a bike or any mass consumer product around them now.

Still no updates or sneaky info on the evo ??? I’m waiting patiently on this bike. I’m convinced it exists
