Now that the 2026 Levo R is out, it feels like the conversation has naturally shifted to the rumored second model people keep bringing up — what everyone’s calling the Levo EVO. For anyone catching up: Specialized has not officially acknowledged a Levo EVO at all. The only confirmed 2026 release so far is the Levo R.
There have been forum threads about a “new Specialized ebike,” but nothing specifically naming an EVO. And even though Specialized often drops new bikes around Sea Otter, there’s nothing indicating an EVO debut at the 2026 event.
As for what’s circulating in the rumor mill:
I’ve heard the EVO is supposed to land around April or May, and it’s expected to be a longer‑travel version of the current platform. It would have a new shock length, and the word is there may be an upgrade kit so Gen 4 Levo owners can convert their bikes — basically a long‑shock, cascade‑link‑style setup, but cheaper and purpose‑built. None of this is confirmed, but the talk has been pretty consistent.
For me personally — being a former Kenevo owner and now on a Gen 4 Levo — I love the Gen 4 for what it is, but I definitely want a long‑travel option as a second bike. If the EVO ends up being a more aggressive, longer‑travel take on the platform without going full Kenevo, that would be exactly what I’m looking for.
Did Specialized miss the opportunity to come out with a bike called Evo Kenevo?
If anything real surfaces, this thread should help keep all the updates in one place.
