62.74 miles on a Single Battery

For me, off road riding was never the point of my bike purchase. I live near Dartmoor UK so I’m gearing myself up for some bigger rides.


Yesterday I managed a 61.74 miles on my 2023 Cube Stereo 160 Actionteam. It’s the 750w / CX configuration. It was a road / trail ride as I wanted to see how far I could get out of a single battery. Good weather, reasonable coastal headwind.

It was mixed terrain with 3350ft of climbing. Most of the ride was in ECO with bursts of AUTO when required - it took me 4hrs 20mins with an average speed of 14mph.

The last half hour I was down to 9% so I had to freewheel a lot of the downhills, slow up and push hard on the flats with the motor OFF. The battery died 200m from my house!

It proves to me that the predicted range is significantly out. It says 36 miles in ECO on my bike right now.

What’s your longest ride?

Nice going but if you had stopped off at the Salty Dog for a bacon roll it would have been even better in my opinion

The predicted range doesn't expect you to repeat that ride , but if you keep doing it , I would expect it to adjust to "the new normal". Good effort !

My personal best is 55 miles and 14,140 feet of ascent.

All done in a mix of emtb and turbo modes and still had half of a 625w battery left.

It was in Morzine tho so might have cheated a bit on the ascents
