Six or seven years since going tubeless and no flats. I use the standard Stans sealant.

I tried the above, multiplying 1.84m x 4.34 and its 798mm; spot on for my bar width of 800mm. Multiplying by 4.40 as in the video is 809mm. I did the press up test and feel most comfortable and strong at 800mm.

I rode 780mm bars for years. I then bought a new bike with 820 bars, which, after riding for a while I decided were too wide. I'm just over 6ft and semi-retired if that counts! Rather than immediately cutting them down to 780, I shortened them to 800 as an experiment and preferred them to 780...

It sounds like you really like the idea of owning a top end emtb, and who can blame you. If you trust the bike shop and have a good rapport with them go for the 9.9. Maybe negotiate having the bike fully serviced though.

There's some great riding at Cannock but it's not easy to find and is well away from the red and blue runs. Lots of off piste from Penkridge Bank Road. The worst thing is the fees they charge for parking.

I can only think Merida routed the wires through the head tube to give the cockpit a cleaner look...not much of an improvement if it's causing issues! I wonder how it's routed on the newer '23 models.

Steve, I've just seen this post, I'm shocked your bike came with the wires routed through the head tube, is that the norm? I bought my E160 9000 (carbon frame)new in July 2020 and the wires were routed through the vents. Not had any issues with the wires, only the battery in the on/off button...

Unable to remove the current speed. There are three other screens which can't be removed, distance, odo and range. I removed all the others and it made no difference, still defaulting to the current speed so I will put the other screens back as there's no advantage to not having them.
