Same thing happened to my 2022 carbon comp levo cassette after just 1000 miles. My lbs said Specialized would not cover it because it is considered a "wear and tear" issue. At least Specialized did cover my original 2021 levo comp under warranty because of headset play and offered to upgrade me...
I just got confirmation from my Specialized shop that the Levo's are restricted to 16 mph from the factory and thankfully they are going to update my firmware tomorrow to allow me up to reach the 20mph limit. Thanks for all the input from everyone to assist with my quandary.
It must be something unusual as you mentioned because no one else seems to be experiencing the same speed restriction on the gen 3"s. Those were my first thought as well that I got an EU bike somehow.
I just upgraded to a 2022 turbo levo carbon comp because of an ovalization of my head tube on my previous 2021 levo aluminum comp.
I was given the option to pay $1800 more to get a newer gen 3 comp carbon with the warranty applied from Specialized.
I am now thinking maybe I should have stuck...
Thanks for your reply, another person just confirmed what you stated about gopro amplifying the sound vs being on the bike. I am more eager to concentrate my efforts on purchasing one now.
