Guess you can. The shock my bike originally came with didn't have bearing mounts. For the short time I rode it before changing shocks I guess it seemed fine.
But then again I can't help but wonder if not having bearing mounts introduces any unnecessary friction or stiction.
You can also use the Insta360 App. With your camera connected to the app, initiate recording from the app. Make sure GPS is on in the settings also. But anything you record from the app should now have GPS data and you will then be able to use the overlays in the app.
Thanks. Makes a lot of sense. Yeah that a lot of dirt and grime collects in the lower battery compartment. I'm guessing it's due to the battery cover gap. Not sure why this is so poorly designed. Events latest model Hecklers in my shop's showroom have this gap.
Thanks for the tip though. Was...
I thought the same, bought this on Amazon and cleaned all of the female parts of the connection on the battery and the male parts in the batt compartment. Didn't help at all. I also wasn't getting any codes. But I did notice the batt connections were very dirty so I can't help but think dirt...
The overlays are from the Insta app. What's cool is that I didn't need the the GPS remote or have to record with the app open on my phone to get GPS data for the overlay.
I record my rides in Apple Health. The Insta app integrates with Apple Heath and gets GPS and bio data from it for the overlays.
Yes, this turned out to be the Darfon battery. Despite the Shimano app showing no error codes associated with the battery, when swapped with another battery, issues with it suddenly dying were never encountered again. My shop got me another battery under warranty after Shimano rep came to store...
Anyone with an EP8 motor that uses the Darfon battery and not the Shimano battery ever have this issue.
Battery will have a lots of charge. At some point during ride Heckler turns off and won’t turn back on. Battery status led shows “Soft Start Fail”.
Bike is a Santa Cruz Heckler.

Being aware there is an AirTag on the bike giving your current location away to someone that is tracking the AirTag could be helpful too no?
If the thief isn't aware there is an AirTag, owner has more of a chance of locating the bike in time. If the thief is aware, I'd expect they would try to...
If the AirTag is well hidden, I don't think your average bike thief is going to have the know how or tools to get to the AirTag. For example if you had the AirTag hidden somewhere where the only way to access it was to drop the motor, I don't think a thief is going to be able to:
1.quickly...
I think the AirTag, let alone the beeping is pointless if the AirTag is easily located and accessed on the bike.
But I wonder if well hidden inside of the frame, hard to get to, combined with an alert on the thief's iPhone that an AirTag on their person is being tracked and the beeping, might...
Excuse the dirty bike. Sram GX Transmission. Definitely the smoothest SRAM drivetrain yet for eMTB.
I had refrained using the single press/multishift feature on the old AXS. But it works very smoothly with SRAM transmission.
Switched from a GoPro to an Insta360 and am now using a DJI Osmo Action 4. So far I’m liking the performance and the convenience of the DJI more so than the other cameras.
