    Wiggle...where next ?

Gold/ Silver/ Whatever membership only gives you a discount off full RRP which is basically nothing on Merlin anyway as everything is discounted. The terms are fairly straight forward, buy something or loose your benefits. You didn't buy anything and therefore lost your benefits. Are you a...

Exciting times. What rides have you got planned? Biggest for me so far was just under 42 miles and 5300' with the extender and still had 18% of the main battery left at the end. Big rides are definitely possible!

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Be nice if they'd admit to not doing it properly the first time around and at least offer a discount to people who are seeking a bit more reliability from the linkage.

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

Have you got shorter cranks on the ebikes? That'll play a pretty big part in the cadence vs torque thing and definitely takes a bit of getting used to unless you're switching between them regularly. If, (like me) you've got shorter cranks on the ebike, you'll be used to higher cadence. When...

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

For me though, the main reason for buying an ebike was to be able to ride for longer rather than be able to do shorter rides quicker. Yeah, I could stick to a normal MTB and get a killer workout over 20 miles but then I only get to do 20 miles. The ebike means I can go out and do double that...

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

It usually off for ~50% if my rides. Although longer rides I tend to rely on it more towards the end. For me though, pedalling with the motor off is great for leg strength but doesn't really translate into better cardio for some reason. I've tried!

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

My legs are fine hopping onto my hardtail. Plenty of strength still there but my aerobic fitness definitely suffers if I spend too much time on my Rise. I've already got Eco mode tuned to the lowest assistance possible. I wish there was a way to go lower on the power to give my lungs a better...

"Light" tires with insert of heavier tires

It does. If you only ride uplfit or winch and plummet stuff up and down the same hill all day, then it might not be so noticeable but a bike with a motor is no different to a bike without. Heavier tyres still need more effort to accelerate. Sticker tyres still need more effort to keep them...

Wanted 60mm stem for 35mm bars

I fancy trying a 60mm stem but don't want to spend a shed load on a new one only to find I don't like it... Anyone got anything suitable?

"Light" tires with insert of heavier tires

I'd have thought a Rekon EXO+ would make a good rear for that type of riding. Then either the same up front or something more aggressive if you think you need it. Dissector makes a good front or rear. Anything more aggressive than that and you start to really notice the rolling resistance (I do...

"Light" tires with insert of heavier tires

Inserts are good for protecting against snakebite punctures where the tyre pinches against the rim. You've punctured the centre of the tyre so an insert was never going to help. I'd ignore those. They're great if your riding rocky stuff or want to run lown pressures but otherwise they're just...

2.3mm CL rotor/disc compatible with shimano steps?

Nope, not yet. I read various things on various forums with many people saying they've had no issues using Shimano rotors with Magura calipers so was going to give that a go. Looks like you just need to advance the pistons out a bit and they're fine. Apparently. I guess if you bleed them...

    Motor failures?

I thought the same as you, don't bother with warranty and fix it myself to speed things up. Several hours and £ later, it went back to the shop and came out a month later with a new motor. My advice, open it up and check it over before you spend money on replacement parts. If you spot...
