I’ve had oil leaking from my gen3 Levo expert several times. see photo. It appears around the rubber cover in front of rear wheel as well as the plastic motor cover. When I take the rubber cover off it’s wet with oil below the cover. I’ve taken out my dropper post wondering if it’s the post...
Looks good, just ordered mine. I’m trying to take the old one off but I’m not sure which screws release it. The two behind the door are out but it still doesn’t want to come out. Your thoughts?
LBS just called and said Fox would fix the air leak under warranty, but the shock really needs a full rebuild as it has about 1000 km’s on it. Fox will do it for $100 Canadian, normally $250. Fair enough.
After a service not long after I purchased the bike due to the shock being aerated, it’s now loosing air quickly. Can’t get through a ride without massive air loss. Has close to 1000 km since the last service.
Sorry, forgot to update. Specialized credited my LBS the full amount, as they can get that part here in Canada 🤷🏻♂️. I wouldn’t want another one again anyway. Specialized were great to deal with. I installed a regular star nut and top cap and will carry my tools from here on out.
I have the regular link and find it exactly what I was looking for. Better bottom out resistance, better traction and more travel. Keep in mind I’m not a heavy rider at 175, and wasn’t bottoming out all the time easily. So for the average rider the link is exactly what’s needed. For someone...
Are you still bottoming easily or just occasionally? If easily then try 25% sag, otherwise reduce sag by 1or 2 percent increments until it takes care of it. Nothing wrong with a little less sag, just make sure you balance the front at the same time as you don’t want the back jacked up.
