dielectric grease is an insulator it is non condusive and waterproof , if you put it on the connectors you ll block the current. velox is a special contact grease that does transmit current.

Shouldnt you correct the geometry with offset bushings or something? why do you want to set it up as a mullet/mixed wheels? did you loose ground clearance or get more pedal strikes?

You mean the rebound knob at the bottom? It should not be an issue I tried a mates one quickly and it was good. I ride the fast Fenix enduro and never had an issue touching frame or anything. Changing rebound on the trail does mean i have to remove my gloves or push with a multitool...
