Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Went out for a 40km ride this morning after fitting the new 2.4 tyres. I’ve never used Vittoria tyres before and I have to say I was very impressed with them, the bike also rides much better with 2.4‘s over the stack 2.6’s

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Thanks mate. I’ve only had two rides on it so I’m still dialling in the suspension. The shock feels pretty firm even with the sag set at 25% I’ll keep working on it and hopefully get it up how I like it. If not I have an X2 with a 65mm stroke that I’ll try on it. I bought a Fox 40mm x 8mm...

    Rail (750Wh) New Bosch 750 What?hour battery

Same problem here, identical bike set up, identical 50km loop, identical modes and the 750wh bike only just makes it with 4% battery left. The 625wh bike will do it with 13-15% left. I’m not a smart man but I would have thought that that the 750wh bike would do the loop more percentage left. My...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Most of the parts I’ve picked up at 15% off, Bontrager wheels are 10% off when you buy them with a new bike. It should end up costing around $14k. I don’t really care what it costs to be honest, life is short so do what makes you happy!

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I have the grey 9.5 coming in three weeks. The suspension, bars, stem, wheels, brakes and drive train will all be going in the bin, and I’ll build it up to what I want. The bike will have 2022 orange Fox factory 36 grip 2 160mm travel forks, Fox factory float x shock, xtr brakes, same wheels as...

    22 Rail Ethirteen chainring issue.

Agree it’s a crap solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist. I have a spare sram 34t chainring for my 21aluminium Rail on the shelf in the garage. I’ll confirm with Trek that its fine for the 22 carbon Rail, then the Ethirteen garbage can go in he bin!

    22 Rail Ethirteen chainring issue.

Saw a post somewhere in here this morning about Ethirteen chainrings on the 22 Rails throwing the chain off and Ethirteen issuing a service bulletin saying a spacer needs to be fitted, but now i can't find the post. Reason i ask is, my 22 9.8 XT just threw the chain off the chainring. I'm also...

Effective top tube length, how important is it?

The 2021 Large fits me perfectly which is why I’m concerned about the geometry of the 2022 bikes. I’m not that fussed about the new tech but the 750 wh battery is very attractive. With regards to the geometry numbers on the website, the ETT of the 2022 medium is 11mm shorter than the 2021 model...

Effective top tube length, how important is it?

Thanks guys for the feedback/suggestions, much appreciated. The only way to know for sure is to try one as you say Mikerb, Only problem is that there's none in Australia to try, so i'm buying blind. I went to my Trek shop this morning and spoke to them about my concerns with sizing. They were...

Effective top tube length, how important is it?

I have ordered a 2022 Large Rail 9.8 XT. I'm thinking it will be to long and a bit top heavy for me, so i'm probably going to cancel the order, or change to a medium if i can make it fit. I'm 5"11 and a Large 2021 Rail fits me really well. My concern with the medium is the riding position when...
