    Drivetrain cleaning

I very rarely wash my bike, other than a quick hose off to remove the big bits, I then use GT85 and a cloth, leave it for a day or so, then apply fresh motor oil. I've been through the religious clean/dry/lub routine and it made little difference and took more time. What's more my wheel...

    Eco sucks!

I started MTB again on an emtb in 2020, there was no way I'd have started again with an acoustic bike, I was riding with my dad a lot doing 50km+ rides with 1500m of climbing, to get the range I had to use eco with bits of tour. After 6000miles of mountain biking over the last 3 years I still...

    Eco sucks!

I use assist up hills, but I don't have a normal bike to compare it to either 🙂

    Eco sucks!

Because it's good to be able to turn up the power when you're tired, or feeling a bit shit that day.

    Eco sucks!

No, my Bosch is fine. The motor is still switched on, just assist is off.

    Eco sucks!

I use eco most of the time, tour is too much most of the time and I like long trail rides. On flat easy going I also switch the assist off, that makes a huge difference to range, which leaves more for tour up steep climbs

Went through water today, wet f**king feet again, p*issed off :(

Duct tape, hurts taking it off the first time but for the rest of the winter you'll be fine 😄

Article Shimano Linkglide for ebikes – first ride

My dad finally fitted his link glide set and is finding it to be very good, I think there is only 2 sets of ramps not 3 like most current Shimano cassettes have, so the shifting is a little slower but it's shifting faultlessly every time so far.

I know, but being a branded item I'd be able to fall back on the UK importer.

Mmm, just tried getting the post from Wiggle, but their system must be having a problem as I can't create an account.

Recommendations for a sensible priced dropper post.

The oem dropper on my Orbea Wild FS has decided it's not going to play anymore. It's fairly worn anyway so I need to replace it. 160mm drop and 31.6 diameter. I mainly use it getting on and off the bike as I trail ride (no interest in bike parks or groomed trails) I after recommendations for a...
