    Official Merida eOne-Sixty thread

Just remember to tighten the bolts in correct order when assembling back: right side first and Shimano recommendation is 12.5 Nm max. I think that Merida recommends 16 Nm but I stuck with 12.5 Nm.

Display unit on new Merida EP8

I have configured my Garmin Edge 1030 Plus to display the support & other data (cadence, remaining battery, remaining range). Cadence is also stored as part of your ride data but unfortunately not any other, like support or battery. This functionality can be found also in Edge 530 & 830...

Old post but I ended up buying Magura disks & magnets. https://r2-bike.com/MAGURA-Rotor-MDR-P-203-mm-6-hole https://r2-bike.com/MAGURA-Sensor-magnet-for-Brake-Disc --- BTW. has this already been here? Explode-view of eOne-Sixty with part numbers, torques, etc.

Does anyone else ride in "off" mode?

Almost never. Only for steep climbs which I wouldn't otherwise manage. Boost has so unnatural feeling to ride that I do not really like it. Even when I've set Boost to lower setting as what Shimano provides.

Does anyone else ride in "off" mode?

Almost never. But I have readjusted my assist levels with eMax-app to even lower than what Shimano lets you to do. Current assist levels (Shimano E8000 / Merida eOneTwenty) are: Mode..Max torq/Max assist ECO ... 30 Nm / 30% TRAIL . 70 Nm / 50% BOOST 70 Nm / 120%

    New wheels for my 800e...??

I bought Crankbrothers Lithiums just for the looks :) I do have Cobalt 3's installed in my 29" rigid MTB and I like those. Cannot recommend lithiums yet, though, since I haven't installed those yet. I swapped spiked tyres to original rims and planning to run with two sets of wheels from now on...

    800e Brake upgrade?

I bled my set of MT5's like 20 times (5 x front, 15 x rear) before they were ok. I do not know what has happened with Magure QC but I've never had this much problems with my other Maguras (been using them from -92). Currently I have MT8's & MT5's in use and - as said - will install MT7's to...

Definitely agree. I killed my flat pedals (RF Chester) after two weeks. Now the second set has survived 3 months but missing more teeth than granny... Fortunately they are cheap to replace (Chester's teeth, not granny). And thanks for the info, I'm seriously considering to lenghten the fork...

    Shimano E8000 update problem

To my understanding 4.6.0 just added Korean language, otherwise it is the same as 4.5.1 which made the drive connect smoother. I.e. there is no real need to update to 4.6.0. On the other hand if Shimano follows standard versioning schemes, 4.6.0 should add more than just a language module for...

    Shimano E8000 update problem

Next time you should disable wifi while updating. Some phones use same chip for all radios and if there is a lots of wifi-traffic and/or poor reception, it might affect also BT. There has been several reported cases in Finland where update over the air has bricked the bike. Sometimes it just...

Hi guys, you do not feel that the longer fork has affected the geometry in negative way? E.g. making steep climbs more difficult or something? Longer fork will slacken head and seat angles and making you sit more on top of rear wheel.

    800e Brake upgrade?

Not yet, but I have Magura MT7 set waiting for assembly. Planning to upgrade to Di2 at the same time, therefore this is waiting when I have enough time to do it all at once. But I have been quite happy with the current brakes also.
