Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

I raised the issue the 1st time around with a support ticket regarding getting garmin/similar devices paired and suggested others do the same. I suspect by the time Bosch get around to doing anything (again after them doing such a 1/2 @rsed job) I'll have moved to a non bosch ecosystem on my...

Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

I really can't see the point of the feature if that is the case. Pretty poor effort by Bosch

Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

My Mondi Crafty got the extra mode options though after reading the Bosch site descriptions I stuck with those it came with, tweaked to my preferences.

Did you change anything after fitting shorter cranks?

Bosch updated eMTB short crank mode? It probably adds a little bit more assistance (vs normal eMTB mode) as short cranks mean less leverage ( think of a short torque wrench trying to undo a nut compared to a long one on the same nut) . With that in mind short cranks don’t change the gearing just...

Did you change anything after fitting shorter cranks?

As a general fyi for Bosch eMTB owners fitting short(er) cranks the latest Bosch update (if model appropriate) now has the option choice of one of two EMTB drive modes, one listed as a short crank version. I have no idea what it does differently to the “normal“ EMTB mode. Though my Mondi Crafty...

Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

That is very disappointing as it would seem Bosch have only done half the job. Without the HR being saved as part of the ride stats, only having it on the display little more than a gimmick, I already have that with my Garmin 530 synched to my watch & that does add the hr to the ride recording.

Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

Just tried out “pairing“ my fenix 7 with my mondi kiox300 & it works in sofar as I now have HR displaying on the Kiox display. I set up a custom one to show the HR. The pairing process wasn’t how I expected as I had tried to add an e-bike to the fenix but the flow app couldn’t detect the watch...

    Whinstanley selling cheap mondraker

I would be wary of a whinstanley purchase and would want evidence that it has warranty support, as I once bought a rockshok pike fork from them that wasn’t able to have any SRAM support for as it wasn’t from authorised for sale stock (had serial number scratched off) even though it was claimed...

    Bosch Flow App

Before you delete the flow app make sure you haven’t enabled the lock bike function. Or if you have disable the bike lock setting before you do and check it isnt locked without the app running or you may be cursing a bit more.

    Bosch Flow App

I have to make sure the flow app is open on the ride tab to record a ride. The app can in theory track the ride always if location settings are set to always which I dont have enabled. i also need to stop the ride in flow app afterwards to save. It takes a few moments to appear in statistics...

    Worth going tubeless?

I've been tubeless for about a decade . I 1st started with ghetto method using non-tubeless rims/tyres and rolls of gaffer/gorilla tape (messy). These days its a lot easier until you stub your toe /thumbs on a rim/tyre combo that refuses to mount due to the tolerances all being in the wrong...

How many km/ before changing a chain and drive train?

I got 500miles out of an XX1 chain (on an XX1 cassette) before it was showing over 75% worn on the chain check tool. Replaced with an X01 chain (as I had one as a spare) on the same cassette. Pondering if my local wet mud conditions (or dry dusty baked mud) is hard on chains, though I did snap...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Nothing “sexy” just a black XX1 chain to replace the more than 75% stretched old XX1 , that managed just under 500 miles on an XX1 cassette. I didn’t fit the new chain as I found I had a new X01 chain in my spares pile I’d bought eons ago and forgotten about so that went on the current cassette...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Ran the Krypt Re enduro soft as a front for a short while. It was good but slightly drifty in softer going, when forest trails were transitioning from autumn to winter. I had tried to get a Krypt FR enduro soft front but didnt find any stock, so tried the Argotal Enduro Soft as a front and...

    Which New tires

Conti Kryptotal Enduro /Trail range tyres? I wont say that they are the Dogs gingangs as I find tyre preference can be a very personal activity as one mans meat is anothers poison. Supply may limit the choices as I find some of the versions sizes arent always in stock at the usual locations...
