Orbea Rise 2022 540wh battery - completly died - any repairers out there

That sucks. An Orbea could give you any guidance on when batteries would be available or are ghosting you?

Orbea Rise 2022 540wh battery - completly died - any repairers out there

You scared me when you said no replacement battery available for a 3yo bike ... you mean not currently available? Part number is XA81, right? One site (Westbrook, UK) says due in on 24/October.

Orbea Rise LT H0 sizing for tall people (6ft 4)

My son has a L Rise and for my 6'4" it's tiny. He's just sort of 6' and L works for him. Go for an XL. By "seat a little high" I assume you mean when saddle is at correct height the grips were too low? Solve that will riser bars and/or a stem with rise. I have an XL Orbea Urrun and...

Urrun (M) dropper diameter, travel & over all length?

I have an XL Urrun and installed a dropper post. I'm pretty sure it was a 200mm PNW Loam. They (and most manufacturers) have a calculator. Hope this helps:

    Urrun: routing a dropper cable

It's pretty tight in there, guiding a thin wire through with a magnet is one thing, pulling a thick and stiff cable housing is another. As I wrote above, the first time I dropped (well, flipped bike and lifted) the motor to install the dropper I didn't pull the battery and it was a struggle...

    Urrun: routing a dropper cable

I didn’t see a guide (and honestly didn’t look for one). I just tried to prevent the lines coming down and on top of the battery from tangling/binding when reinserting the battery.

    Post-warranty repair/replacement: Bosch & Shimano?

I'm asking the same question on the Bosch forum. I'm wondering what people's experiences are with Bosch and Shimano post-warranty. IMO that's a bigger deal than in-warranty given I intend to ride these bikes indefinitely. I have no horse in this race as I have both a Bosch (gen4...

    After-warranty repair/replacement: opinions Bosch & Shimano?

I'm asking the same question on the Shimano forum. I'm wondering what people's experiences are with Bosch and Shimano post-warranty. IMO that's a bigger deal than in-warranty given I intend to ride these bikes indefinitely. I have no horse in this race as I have both a Bosch (gen4...

Bosch CX Gets 750W Power Boost

So what does GEN4 get ... EMTB+? How does that fit into eco/tour/emtb/turbo scheme (where currently my Rail is eco/tour+/emtb/turbo w/Nyon controller)? I haven't had a firmware upgrade in two years (when motor was replaced) ... have I missed anything? Since the smart system and flow app don't...

Update the EP 801 RS with the “classic” SHIMANO EP 801 (RISE 2025) ?

Yup that's what I sort of what I have #1 is 150/300/400, max 85nm for the RE, #2 is "fine-tune" max 600 for main battery only. I rode RE almost to the first summit (~1900ft climb); I could have made it if I stuck to 300 but was lazy and ran at 400 for much of the way. 400 seems fine with...

Update the EP 801 RS with the “classic” SHIMANO EP 801 (RISE 2025) ?

So far so good, used trail (300) on the approach then boost (400) climbing the trail (about 800ft so far). Display @ 8 bars, RE showing 2. Back to Trail for a while. As I recall I can start feeling the drop when RE drops to 1.

Update the EP 801 RS with the “classic” SHIMANO EP 801 (RISE 2025) ?

The first time I used the range extender after bumping up max power/torque I ran into this on a steep climb. My Urrun had just a few miles on it; I thought I broke it! Off/On then again, then it occurred to me to disconnect the extender, all good after that. I'd consider a new range...

    Pic of the Day

Coyote - big and healthy one. As far as I’m concerned they are a plague. Not so much this guy, his range is wild-slash-natural, but there are a lot than roam the neighborhoods in broad daylight like guilty looking stray dogs. They do keep the small pet population under control. As does the...

Orbea Urrun EP801 and XT Di2 with auto shift headache

[edit: wrote this before reading what backflip wrote. He likely knows more than me :)] I believe eMax modifies the official firmware images to override the speed limiter. Quite a feat to figure out what bits - literally - need to be flipped. That’s why you can’t install the eMax image...
