Finally got a response from Canyon with instructions on how to resolve the issue.....put a washer behind the sensor and give it twist.....just like Peter73 showed us in an earlier post.
As an engineer I'd call this a fudge not a solution, the sensor is no longer retained in the chainstay and is...
40 years riding motorcycles, adventure toured most of Europe for the last 10 years using KLIM. Jackets were great, trousers were crap. Moved to eMTB this year and needed a decent jacket. Did lots of research and tried a few brands. Settled on a Leatt DBX 5.0. Not cheap and not that packable but...
Weighing ~95kg, I was never really happy with the stock wheels on my Neuron On 8, too much creaking, pinging and flexing....even after a full tune up....the cheap Shimano hubs just weren't up to job for my weight..... So I decided to invest in a hand built wheel set.
P T Cycles was given a...
Emailed Canyon service centre back in July, got a response stating they were looking into a fix.
Emailed again in early Sept, no response!
Emailed again late Sept, no response!
All emails are follow up replies to the original case no.
Not sure what's going on with Canyon, clearly they are...
I also had a chat about charging the battery off bike (as per manual) and the guy said he'd send me an adaptor FOC....guess what, it never arrived.
TBH, I think customer demand is overstretching their build capacity and QA. My partner's Grand Canyon 8 (sent a month before mine) was assembled...
I've compared the Neuron and Grand Canyon wiring/connectors/sensors and they are pretty much identical.....This has to be a Factory firmware issue with a batch of E8000 motors. Still no update fix from Canyon yet, although I did get a polite email stating that it doesn't affect the bike's...
Just had a response from Canyon regarding an issue with my Neuron:On / E8000 motor where the odometer clocks up double mileage.
Canyon stated that they are aware of the issue and are working with Shimano on a solution.
Once Canyon have worked out a solution with Shimano they will be in...
Hi, My new Neuron:On motor sounds identical to my partner's Grand Canyon:On, both have 4.8 firmware.
However, mine was making an intermittent grating noise, so I removed the chain and rear derailleur and immediately found the hanger bolt loose. This caused the derailleur to fold in and scuff...
Hi guys, took delivery of two eBikes last month, a Grand Canyon for my partner and a Neuron for me.
I'm loving the bikes but have a minor problem with my Neuron, the odometer counts exactly double the distance of the Grand Canyon e.g a 10 mile ride records as 20 miles on the Neuron.
However...
I finally took the plunge after 40 years of riding motorcycles and bought my partner and I Canyon eBikes. Absolutely loving them! Lots of trails and single tracks near me, along with the Shropshire hills.
Glad to join up!
