    PM Adapter frustrations

Indeed the specs seem to be incorrect. Worse still, this review claims it comes with 220mm rotors! Overkill for most folks for street use.... I've reached out to Orbea Support to see if they can verify 1) is it possible to do 180 safely and 2) if so, what adaptor.

    PM Adapter frustrations

@Spangoolies - I'm assuming the mfg. is Orbea...they call it "Orbea Vibe Carbon Fork" on the spec. sheet. I guess I'll try their tech support. I didn't think about fork strength as a limiting factor but I suppose the torque has to come from somewhere.

    PM Adapter frustrations

Magura Caliper adapter needed upgrading from 160 PM on Orbea Vibe I know the Vibe isn't an mtb, but hopefully some of you folks with Magura experience might know the answer. The Vibe is Orbea's urban bike and comes with a post-mount caliper and 160mm Magura rotor. A little weak for my mass...

    Do I need riser bars?

Someone mentioned saddle rake, and I’ve found nose-up really helps keep weight off my bars. Flat seems like I’m sliding off the nose for whatever reason and I’m pushing back in the bars just to stay on saddle. Nose up a bit seems to take that pressure off the bars just enough

OMG ive just spent 4k on a EMTB- Rise user experiences please

No!.... No, you won't miss going walking pace in granny gear up a steep techy trail, or declining an invite to ride from a friend because you "just went yesterday and my knees are blown", nor will you wish you could just "slow-down a little" to turn your magical uphill flow into a standard...

How do e-bike riding techniques change?

Just get out there and book seat time on your e-bike. All basics are the same. Any modern geometry changes are likely to make more of a difference in technique than your motor IMO. Weight: Adds a LOT of stability on the rough descents (vertically as well as rolling momentum). Corollary...all...

    How many chain links?

Yes, I did watch that one but seems to leave a lot up to interpretation. Park is always my go-to for how-to. Shimano too, has a reasonable guide for 12-spd FS that I ran across.

    How many chain links?

@Chrysaor - Thanks for checking! I also wrote to YT Support and they said they ship with 122 links on the Decoy29. I'll probably try that first and see if the tension seems right....can always cut more.

    How many chain links?

Anyone know the # of chain links for 2020 Decoy 29? Rear mech got ripped off clean during my last ride (ouch!). I tried to run single-speed cutting my chain on trail but there wasn't enough tension and pretty much just pushed my 52 lb ebike through and out of the woods, coasting downhill...

    Rise for Clydes?

I was at 330psi on my DPX2 at proper sag. Just wasn't very planted over chatter at all, even w/ compression damping nearly wide open, which led me to move to coil. You say you love the Float X and run the DHX2 on several bikes? What psi are you running on Float X to get 25-30% sag? Do you...

    Rise for Clydes?

@BiGJZ74 - I appreciate your chiming in since I started this thread with you in mind specifically. :) I'm noticing that you replaced both ends of your Rise's suspension. In particular, I'm curious if you tried working with the Fox Float X, or if you immediately went over to the DHX2 coil? I...

    Rise for Clydes?

Other than @BiGJZ74, who of you Rise owners out there are 250lbs+ riders? I'd love to hear from you if you feel the 60Nm EP8RS is up to task for you on steep punchy climbs. Especially if you have FF motor experience. I'm not worried about range and I'm typically carrying around 25-30% extra...

Is falling off a new emtb always going to happen?

Lol...yeah, I've crashed on my last 2 new bikes E or not (YT Jeffsy29 and YT Decoy29). You'll get used to the bike soon! Jeffsy (analog) crash was typical - new toy thinking "I'm gonna crush it on this thing" and overrunning (ignoring?) the damp poor-traction I had that morning starting...

What brakes rotor are you running?

@Paulcon - My bike came stock w/ SRAM Code RSC 200F/200R. At my hefty rider weight, I didn't feel the brakes were up to task and upgraded Fronts-only to 220mm rotors. Same SRAM design, no other mods and it made a HUGE difference in power (leverage ratio of +20mm is significant). For me...
