    Rail 9.7 chainring rubbing

Recently I had the chainring scratching my chainstay. It was due to the alu motor mounting plates coming loose from the motor. I torqued the alu motor plate bolts to 8-9 nm, and the main frame mounting bolts to 20nm, with blue loctite. One thing I learned was that you need to wait 24 hours...

TQ Motor cost? Out of warranty

In order to load firmware into a new (blank) TQ motor, the serial number of your frame needs to be entered into the TQ service software. The serial number needs to be valid in the TQ database, as a bike that originally comes with a TQ. It is helpful to have a shop that can do this for you.

TQ Motor cost? Out of warranty

I replaced the 6806 bearing with a double sealed version (6806-2RS or 6806-LLB). The clamp was very simple, two halves that sit around the outer surface of the bearing, allowing it to be clamped in a vice.

TQ Motor cost? Out of warranty

Here’s the non sealed bearing that comes in the right side of the hpr50. They should have used a double sealed 2rs version. With the chainring and lockring removed, and the two wavy washers removed, tap the axle gently towards the right. Need to use the blue axle cover to safely reinstall the...

The sprag clutch has a plastic carrier, and is breakable, so you can’t get a bearing puller behind the...

    Other JUST DROPPED: All-new Slash+ e-MTB

Could someone confirm the cross sectional dimensions of the 580wh battery? I found a spec sheet that says 60.5 x 65.5mm, which is thicker than the 48 x 64mm on the 360wh pack.

    TQ HPR50 Right Bearing Replacement

I have a new motor and I can see from the outside that it has a metal shielded bearing. It’s visible when the chainring is not installed

    TQ HPR50 Right Bearing Replacement

The right side main axle bearing on the TQ is a metal shielded 6806 bearing, which has no rubber seal to keep water out. The sprag clutches are sitting just behind this bearing, and won’t be in good shape if water gets in. I’ve seen that service centres are replacing this with a sealed 6806...
