I think the shock mounts can give a clicking/ticking sound too. Noticed this went away immediately when I put on a coil shock. Was gone for a while, but after a big trip to the Alps the sound came back. Just removed cleaned and re-greased the fittings and it looks good again.

I have the giro remedy x2 and the finger protection is soft so not great for brambles and thorns.

I ordered one in November, hoping for a March deliver, but suspect it will be longer!

Range also depends on how much effort/energy you put in personally, as in Eco the assistance percentage is at a fixed rate. So if you are a bit worn out from CV19, which is understandable, then the bike may be doing more work for each mile ridden. As your fitness returns you may find that range...

I just got back from the french alps a couple of weeks ago. Drove down, ferry was very quiet. Wearing masks on ski lifts, but overall it felt fine. Keep an eye on the infection numbers before you go, although most spots in Europe have lower numbers than UK.

On the coast

I had a terrible creak coming from the crank area, spent days trying to work it out. Turned out to be a slightly lose mech hangar. Tightened up and the creak is gone.

There are Chinese companies who will sell you a frame only. And they probably supply some of the main manufacturers in any case. Mind you that was BC (before corona).

Just a quick note to say what a great job CRC did with my e sommet. Had e10 error. CRC picked up bike, fitted new motor and got it back to me in 4 weeks. This may seem a while but it was over Jan/feb so I didnt miss out too much. For some reason they also put a set of new nuke proof wheels and...

I don’t think that would change the speed. It measures number of wheel rotations and how fast each rotation comes around. So no part of the wheel completes a rotation before another part. Hope that makes sense?

Yep, got one and it is great. Use it after every ride. It did leak a small amount in back of my van, just a trickle mind. So if you are driving around with it full of water make sure there is an old towel under it.

Anyone know of a good Shimano service centre in SW of UK who may help out with this? Same w013 ans e010 issue? I know I can sent it to CRC but don’t want to lose bike for months.
