Looks like it's less worth giving it a go then. I can safely say I'll never buy another bike with a shimano motor, unless they make them serviceable with spare parts available.

Can anyone tell me if I swap out my broken e8000 motor for another used e8000 motor do I need to plug it into a computer and have the shimano software to get it going our will it just work? And anything else I need to know? Thx

Yep, looked just now, says no stock. I've found another place on eBay that has one, cost £26 inc. it's only and extra £6 over retail price but I'm not keen on the standard one and who knows when anyone in the UK will have one in stock, Tredz is showing July for new stock!

I’ll see how I get on. The kmc is an ebike chain so I thought it would be better as it’s stronger than a sram. I didn’t have any issues shifting on my short test ride So hopefully that will continue.
