Cleggy, have you tried a derestricted emtb of any kind? Just wondering as that was the clincher for me.
Once I'd experienced the goodness of the full potential of these bikes there was no way I wasn't having that for myself.
As far as I can remember it's all undoable by the user, and once back to normal won't be detectable by a shop or dealer. I'm sure that's what the guy told me, no idea how to do it though.

I've got no idea, but not so high that I've been tempted to check. I could have checked, cadence is indicated on once of the screens, but I don't normally have it displayed. I can maintain 30mph on the flat for a couple of miles without killing myself. This is with motor support.

I'm running a 38t chainring. I've only reached the top speed on a couple of road commutes, not spinning out by any means. Off road I don't get close to topping out the assistance.
Get yourself some sort of a stress ball and get squeezing. I had a sore elbow from over doing it on a road bike that didn't fit well, it got so I could just about ride but was sore all the time. A few minutes a few times a day of stress ball squeezing eventually got me back to being pain free...
