Should have mentioned that I've got the sicomtb short guard permanently fitted so it gives some protection lower down the frame where the Topeak probably wouldn't.
It works well IMO, has a fair bit of adjustment so you can get it pretty much where you want. Once set up it takes seconds to fit/remove.
I've got the 29er version but the 26 would do the job as well and be a bit easier on the eye. Only difference is the length.
There's a ferry from Inversnaid across to the A82 which would cut out the top part of the Loch, I can't remember if the worst parts of the trail are North or South of there though!
I've walked the route a couple of times, the section along the side of Loch Lomond towards Inverarnan would be a nightmare with any bike never mind a 25kg one!!
A guy I used to work with was into mountain climbing and extreme adventures, hiking across Greenland to name one, he tried cycling the...
I've just gone through a similar experience, bought the bike online from the Concept Store purely because my LBS couldn't get one. It arrived needing a firmware upgrade, the gears sorting and a few other minor niggles I sorted myself, don't think it had had any sort of pre dispatch check TBH...
It's home, brand new battery fitted. Got soaked on the way back and just made it on the 20% charge but all seems good, will be even better when they track down my battery charger:oops:.
Well, after about a month at the LBS turns out it is the battery after all!! Bearing in mind I told them this on day one maybe they should give me a job in diagnostics?
Waiting on Specialized giving the nod for a new bat now so, at this rate, should hopefully have it back by July!
It's Specialized mate, just hang off until something else goes wrong (probably won't be a long wait - unfortunatlely) and have it sorted with your new motor
I was convinced it was the battery, a few other posters had the same symptoms and a new battery was the fix. I thought about swapping batteries but decided not to in case the faulty battery did something to the good bike or the bad bike feked the good battery.
The battery is OK apparently which...
That's proper service but unfortunately I bought the problem one online from the Concept store purely because my LBS couldn't source one (lesson learned there!). Not easy to get it back to original seller so it's with my local Specialized dealer at the moment. Maybe I'm being naive but I'd still...
