I can not connect with the mobile phone on my Shimano ep8.

The shop you got the bike from can connect to the bike with a PCE02 device and change/reset your password for you.

    The story so far!

There are numerous threads about that error. My Heckler had it as well. Many folks have reported discovering that error on brand new bikes...myself included. The bike functioned perfectly and I would not have known it was there except I checked for error logs out of curiosity one day. A call to...

Do you update your firmware asap?

I just updated mine to 4.1.8 Release notes: Bug fixes for the error detection function. ・Improved the display accuracy for the assist traveling range. Those sound like good reasons to update

New version E Tube Pro & Cyclist 5.0.3

New versions just released. One nice feature is ability to erase error logs with Pro version. I can't connect to Shimano servers with either Pro or Cyclist to update latest firmware. Anyone else experiencing connection issues?

Would you ride this trail section?

For someone not at all familiar with this location it would be normal to quote my post and indicate the location. None of those posts name the location except one with a question mark. Regardless, it looks like an insane ride. The video had some weird resolution to it that almost made it look fake.

Would you ride this trail section?

I think it's fake. Nobody can identify the location and I agree with you it looks like CGI.

SRAM Code R brakes - opinions

It's remarkable the wide spectrum of experiences with these brakes. Some have reported them to be absolute nightmares and others such as myself have had no issues. Weird

Battery cover for use without the battery

This debate isn't going to be solved by us. I defer to the manufacturer who states they have not done extensive testing riding without the battery and do not recommend doing so. Again, I have no dog in this fight but if the people who designed and manufacture the bike say its not recommended I...

Battery cover for use without the battery

None of that made sense. I defy anyone to compress the 504wh battery because it's plastic. It's a very rigid, heavy component. It is firmly fixed at both ends to brackets which are also firmly attached to the carbon downtube above and below the gaping hole in the downtube covered by the battery...

SRAM Code R brakes - opinions

I have them on my Heckler and they work fine. They do need to be set up properly and it requires some adjusting. There are lots of threads and videos about setting them up properly. I removed the pads and cleaned/lubed each piston. Then I made sure the brake was centered evenly over the rotors...

Battery cover for use without the battery

I'm not a structural engineer but folks that say the battery is not a structural part of the bike I think are wrong. The battery is fixed at both ends by brackets mounted at upper and lower portions of the downtube. It certainly does add rigidity to the downtube and may minimize any side flex as...
