  • Hi Andrew,

I thought reaching out to you here is better.

The bike is 2700km mileage. The damage might be just water or cabling. What happen was after a ride, wash the bike (without pressure hose) and it wouldnt turn on the next day.

No crashes but there are few scratches on the frame but nothing deep. Just a normal MTB would have.

    Thanks

Hi, you are better off fixing this and selling - You may only need a new ride control, or take it apart and wd40 and dry out - A new ride control cannot be more than $500. I was looking to spend around $3,000. The motors can withstand water well. The ride controls don't do so well with hosing and short out. - Check with the dealer they may be able to hook a new one up to see if that's the problem.

It should also be covered by warranty - Double check with the dealer

Checked! No warranty. Taking into consideration, would you consider $4k ? I mean after giving giant a call and finding out what the problem could be it looks like it’s a cable issue as the motor is quite robust however the next available time slot is late February. Therefore will to take the risk and prepared to lose to get a bike quicker.
    Hopefully this make sense ?
