I've ridden everything from a 10.8kg cross-country bike to my Crestline all on the same trials. I've never been prevented from riding anything I want to ride on any of those bikes. I think people over-think this. All MTBs are capable of riding pretty much anything the average trail system has to...
While I agree with you it's not the best implementation, I will say Orbea did a good job documenting everything in the Blue Paper. I.e. it documents exactly what you describe.
E-Tube Ride or E-Tube Project?
Maybe it depends on the year but this was not the case on my 2023 M-Team. E-Tube Project only showed the internal battery. The app behavior with the range extender was to show 100%-60% SOC and, once it switched to the internal battery, it would show 100% SOC again...
One other thing to keep in mind with DJI: no range extender. I'm sure they'll have one some day but it's a big damper (for me) as I'd want the 600wh battery (my current Bosch build is ~46 lbs).
Doesn't have anything to do with quality or performance in this case, it's about import fees and how the product is categorized. Selling frames is way harder than selling a full bike.
DJI motor is 300g less than Bosch, 800wh battery is 160g lighter, 600wh battery is 130g lighter.
I'm interested to see the longevity of the DJI motor (plastic gears).
Not sure why everyone is so excited about the slim downtube, it just means the center of gravity is higher (the battery is...
It's hard to see once it's installed. It looks a lot like the Wolftooth "B-RAD" 2-slot mounting plate:

Now for a question: currently trying to install a dropper cable in a small size 2022 M30. I have the motor and fork removed. The cable goes easily through the downtube but when it reaches the headtube it's too high up for me to grab with a finger. The aluminum frame doesn't have nearly as much...
