I have the comp model and it is an amazing bike, fast and really steady. It is the most capable bike ever had: XC, All mountain, Enduro, Bike Park, Down Hill..?
Weakness: NX rear derailluer failed before 100 km. Besides, the shock Marzocchi bomber CR exploded before 150 km. Both cases were...
I’m considering to replace the Mrz Bomber CR that came in my Kenevo Comp, it had already failed once, by a Rock Skox Super Deluxe or Ohlins TTX. What would you choose and why?
I upgraded the front brake levers to Code RSC for better modulation and installed Galfer‘s 223 mm rotors together with Galfer’s ebike pads for more braking power (only front wheel).
I tested the combo with excellent results.
After riding no more than 150 km, mine exploded too. LBS said me: this problem happened already several time to others riders, due to original Marzocchi‘s torque assembly is not right for Kenevo application.
They made full maintenance to my shock and put higher torque. No problem after 150 km...
In summer I replaced the Butchers rear tire by 2,6 Eliminator Black Diamond, stronger carcass and better rolling resistance and cornering. In winter / mud, 2,6 Hillbilly black diamond all days.
1. It looks like you lost the rubber guard (See attached photo of my bike). You could put some 3M sealing tape or a piece of inner tube or any plastic high impact frame protection.
2.- On the other hand your chain looks slack. Check the derrailleur tension and chain length.
I suffered severe knee pain when I changed to eMTB, basically the pedal position was too aggressive, due to of the steepest seat angle, 77 degrees, of my Kenevo. I did a bike fit and the conclusion was to change the dropper post to one with 25 mm offset and increase the height of the seat 10 mm...
I owned the Kenevo 2020 comp and it is an amazing bike, you can ride anything: XC, Enduro, Bikepark, DH trails. Really plush and composed in rough terrain. Any case, you need more body english than standard Mtb and in my firsts riding I realize my upper body was more tired than normal...
In a nomal Mtb, cleapless give you more power especially in climbing but in eMtb that is not so important. I believe with flats I can attack harder and push the limits of my emtb, because you are riding faster and have less time to react. So I feel more confortable and safer on Flat...
