Is it so hard to build a bottom bracket that is waterproof? I guess because of how bicycles operate and the need of bearings in that area? Sounds like that area is the culprit and the rest of the motor is quite well sealed?

I was also wondering something similar. Why not try his battery for a few rides to see if the same issue appears?

So when you get the power off if you remove your battery and add it on the other bike it works it means there are no issues with the batteries but probably the chipset that communicates between the control unit and the battery is malfunctioning for some reason? Maybe check those connections...

Yes I don't see why not since the charger has independent setting and you can put it in that mode even with the battery not being connected.

Since the batteries are working when you get back home it should be a temperature issue? What kind of weather were you riding at? Despite having a neoprene cover, if you ride at very cold temps and the cover gets wet maybe it's not enough to keep the battery warm? Although your friend's battery...

I was thinking of adding one, but it seemed expensive for what it is like you said. If the warranty is 2 years though I wouldn't worry about it and use it.

If you got a energypak range extender that means you intend to use it, so no issues charging it to 100% and using it. If you know you won't be needing it you can charge it to 60% (or is that not possible, if I understood you right?). It's not like there will be a big issue if you don't follow...

Or the battery itself since it's not charging, did you try to charge it off the bike with the adapter just in case?

I did take the top cap off and there are no spacers for this fork so it can't be adjusted

Chains have this factory treatment so what you might be experiencing is that. Others recommend to degrease before using a new chain and re-oiling it, while others claim that the factory treatment works better, although it's weird if lasted for that long.

It's great for me, I don't do any technical stuff though but for what I use it for (ride from tarmac to the trails and back) it's great. Are you not looking at the 2022 models?

I don't use it either, it is slow to give power at first then it gives more power than needed on flat terrain (and in general). I guess it's normal as it can't know the rider's abilities/power output as well.
