    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

Wow, super helpful…. If I’d asked how to combine rides 🙄 and yes, I do know how to do that, thanks

When stopping for a fuel break mid ride, can the bike be turned off without it stopping the ride? I’ve only done this once and it was annoying to end up with two separate rides. Is it as easy as to pause the ride via the bike display and then switch off? Most of my rides are continuous so this...

    Nice, thanks. Any downsides?

Thanks, will have to try a set soon. There’s a lot of tuning room with the spacers, even to get the bar height back to a similar position to the standard 35mm rise bar.

Nice, some epic trails around your way, it’s where all us southerners wished we could ride 😎 We don’t have the snow down here, we just have waterlogged trails. Different kind’a fun but can’t wait for some dry weather. How are you getting on with the high rise bars? I’m still tempted to try...

I’ve order a fast charger in readiness for a trip I have planned at the end of Feb. Already have the power bank so should be good to go for the first multi day excursion of the year. Not quite sure what the final cost will be as I normally get a cheeky discount from my lbs.

    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

When I was fitting my EXT I had a 575Lb spring and based on my experience with the Vivid, I assumed I would need a 600-625Lb as looking at the EXT spring calculator I needed to be in that range for 28-29% sag. Talking to my lbs, they suggested trying the lighter spring as the Storia is more...

I was only talking to them about the coil at the time so they didn’t explicitly say that recommendation was only for coil. I do find the EXT is far more supportive and therefore I’ve been happy with over 30% and no pedal strikes. Quote; Our general tuning advice is more sag vs less, we...

Same, over 30% on the air and I was suffering from pedal strikes all the time.

Yes, I had the Vivid on there for the first few rides before I made the switch. I settled on a firmer ride on the air, about 28-29% sag and that felt good. I have a v3 Storia and that feels more supportive with less sag.

I’m on a 575lb spring on an EXT Storia and weigh around 87Kg. This gives me around 33% sag and so far feels good. I need to get the shock re-tuned as it came from a different bike though. I did have a email exchange with Forbidden tech support for advice, which was interesting. They were...

I’m around 87Kg ready to ride. I wouldn’t say it’s inefficient at all but it generally provides more power than other platforms regardless of what the numbers say. Most noise you see online about the Avinox system being inefficient is from people who don’t tune the motor beyond just adjusting...

I have just come from a Whyte elyte to the e-Druid so understand your thoughts. It’s certainly not twice the range unfortunately and it has taken me a while to detuned the Avinox motor enough for me to be comfortable with it like I was on the elyte. Last weekend I tried a similar ride to one I...

I’m still thinking about trying a 50mm riser bar… Did you drop any spacers to keep roughly at the same height or were you aiming for a higher position? Role the bars forward at all? Do you have the Zeb fully open on HSC & LSC? I ended up there but have just added 2 clicks back on LSC. Bet...
