The main reason is I much prefer the XT Shifter, and miss the trigger shifting. I'd probably change hub too, to use a deore cassette

If I wanted to put an XT Mech on my Amflow, what would I need to change, axel and hanger wise? Edit: It currently has the Full Mount mech.

On my Giant Trance with the yamaha motor, one of the connectors (I'm assuming it's for the controller cable) was broken, and the bike had similar symptoms as you (the bike shop had previously replaced the main power cable) When I put the motor back in, I covered this with liquid electrical tape...
