PowerMore charge level stuck at full

After draining it completely on a ride, I brought it into my local shop and they were able to working properly after calling up Bosch. I'm not sure what exactly they had to do, but it sounded like a combination of forcing a reset of the BMS again plus a firmware reset (not sure on what...

    Beware of update!

It kicks on constantly if you move the cranks at all, which happens all the time if you actually ride dynamically. If you ever ratchet the cranks backwards to weight the outside foot on a corner while leaning the bike over, it kicks on right after. It's a solution in search of a problem. It...

    Beware of update!

Agreed, this update seriously sucks. I wish I could revert. I may ask the shop if that's something they could do for me. No, I don't want to change modes when I descend, I like having power available for little punchy climbs.

Off the top of my head, it was C37 R25.

PowerMore charge level stuck at full

Anyone else had an issue with their PowerMore range extender where the charge level indicated by both LEDs on the extender body and on the Kiox display always show 5 bars / full? I let a buddy borrow mine and the extender got disconnected in the middle of a firmware update. Ever since then...

    Santa Cruz Vala

Slap a sticker over it and call it good. I've had worse from rock strikes on chainstays & seatstays.

Check headset preload. Also look and see if your drive-side crank arm has a bunch of scratches on the end, if you ride right foot back (the chain can slap against crank arm).

    Santa Cruz Vala

Yeah, good to see they're shipping with more realistic token setups now. I know of 2 other guys who got Valas who had way too many tokens in the fork which felt like crap to them.

    Santa Cruz Vala

Agreed, I bought the bike because the 600wh battery means it handles better. If people want an 800wh pig with a removable battery, they should buy a Specialized. :ROFLMAO:

    2024 Santa Cruz Heckler SL

^ That's why I keep buying SC bikes. No stress when the worst happens.

Sounds like nonsense to me, but it can't hurt to email or call Fox.

    Bullit shock tune?

The difference between a Santa Cruz tune and a retail tune for Rockshox is C37 vs. C34 for the 2025 stuff, meaning, the compression is about 9% firmer. That's well within the range of adjustment of the shock, unless you're running to the extremes... i.e. middle of dial for C37 is full firm for...

    Santa Cruz Vala

Then your local shop doesn't know jack about suspension work, or charges like $800/hour for labor. It's a $28 kit, you pop out the old plastic placeholder knob and pop in the new one. The only tools needed are like a dental pick or something to push the ball bearings in. Shouldn't take more...

    Bullit shock tune?

What brand suspension? The Bullit-specific (Santa Cruz specific ones in general) RockShox tunes are basically just a little bit firmer compression. I use the regular retail tunes with no issue. I don't run Fox so can't comment there.
