    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

How regularly would you put your E-ST900 in for a service? Not had mine serviced for a few years now, albeit it’s not been THAT heavily used recently. If purchased from Decathlon, best to go there for the service?

“New” style Electric MTBs, which huge thick tyres

Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this post, but I’m intrigued by these new huge E bikes that I see whizzing around town by the likes of Deliveroo cyclists, massive chunky tyres and which seem to propel without peddling? I enquired about them at my local cycle shop and was met with a “we...

Is this bike now discontinued? Isn’t available to order now on the website and Decathlon can’t advise on its replacement.

    Rockrider E-st 900 changes upgrades

Can I just confirm, with the 38T chainring on now, is that the original chain back on again, or the chain you put on when you moved to the 42T chainring?

No mods to the chain itself required, when you swap out the chainring?

In regards to swapping out the chainring, is it just a case of unbolting the pedal, then the 4 x Allen screws, then it’s just a straight swap? Does the chain need adjusting or is the diameter of the old and new chainrings exactly the same?

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

So, I managed to get the Torx screw out slightly, enough to allow me to slip a junior hacksaw in between the sensor and the frame and cut the screw off. Unless I can drill what remains of the screw out, then the sensor is never going back to its original location - unless I cable tie it, I...

attempted the hack this afternoon. Epic fail. Used a T20 torx screwdriver to remove the torx screw that holds in the sensor but it was driven in so tight I’ve damaged the screw when trying to unscrew it, and no way is it coming out now. In such an awkward, recessed spot too. Damn! Any ideas of...

See the magnet that you need for the speed hack? What kind of magnet do we need, and do you just glue it in place on the inside of the crank, opposite the repositioned speed sensor?

I take it, after you do the speedo hack, cycling at higher speeds flattens the battery quicker?

Thanks, will give that a go, but I’m not sure if I’ve destroyed the whole length of the Alan head.
