I have a Vitus VR, and a mate has a new Lapierre, both with Shimano 8000 motors. When my speedo shows 15mph, his is only showing 13mph, so he gets assistance for another 2mph above my Vitus. Anyone else noticed this? Assume the tyre size isn't programmed correctly, but can it be adjusted?

This is sadly a common problem with Shimano systems and there is currently no user adjustment for wheel circumference. My Jam2 reads over my Garmin by as you say 2mph so my assist cuts out prematurely. Really annoying hopefully Shimano will update their software phone app to allow adjustment to correct this flaw.

download the App to your phone/tablet and pair the app with your bike using the display settings.

Search the forum for a guide on how to do it.
probably in the motors section

I've already paired the bike to the Shimano app, but don't think there is a way to change tyre size or alter speed.

The Shimano App doesn't allow as stated in my earlier response. A Shimano main agent has the ability to change such parameters as they have the specialist equipment and codes.

sorry.
From my experience early E8000 firmware gave a less accurate displayed speed than later updates did.
I just meant you should try updating to the latest version to see if it becomes less of a problem for you as it's free and easy to try.
