You think that those don't share you opinion haven't the right to speak ?
Sorry guy, for my opinion those take high value of strava result, They are frustrated with their lives. I want to say it, and I’m saying it. for me, the only valid sporting results are those achieved in official championships. The rest is just wanking off for losers who want to show off.
You totally missed my point in your display of defenciveness. No one is questioning your right to judge others, but you, no doubt because of your personal inadequacies, have your panties in a twist because someone judges you for them. Feeling hurt(?)...awwww

"They are frustrated with their lives"....seriously(?), so EVERYONE who competes (in invalid(?) non-championships) is compensting for their self-doubts? Where did you get your PHD in Behaviorial Psychology because you just might get a little push-back on that one.

I repeat...what makes your life so bereft of meaning that you see the need to ridicule other's pursuit of joy? Nevermind...no one cares, let me get in my Porsche & go challenge another KOM to show-off to people I've never met & compensate for my genetic shortcoming.

Well that’s pretty rich, coming from a guy whose first post in this thread was essentially calling someone a loser for not having the right motor (spear). Thanks for letting us know about your Porsche, it was surprisingly relevant . ;D

Strawmen burn easily

they do indeed
feel free to point out the logical fallacy in my post...
Jesus..you are such a bore. You misrepresented my original point. I didn't say not having a M2S made anyone a loser. My point was if you are going to enter a competion, you have no right to complain about your adversary using whatever means available to win & if you are unwilling/unable to respond...don't whine about getting beaten.

You're strawman was (intentionally?) misrepresenting what I said. The Porsche comment was ironic to use self-deprecation to mock you. Like a KOM competion...I use any tool at my disposal to win an arguement as well.

Thanks for being such a good foil, people like yourself lacking self-awareness of their pomposity make such good fun. Now run along, you've become tiresome.

I misrepresented your original point?

'Alligator tears fella. This is the nature of competition. When you enter a contest don't be surprised when your adversaries us whatever means at their disposal to win. Either improve yourself, find a better spear or surrender...complaints are for losers.'

and my reply was:
'essentially calling someone a loser for not having the right motor (spear).'

I'm not seeing the strawman - was that not 'essentially' your point as you wrote it?

Yup I did believe you when you spoke of your Porsche
but that is ok somehow because 'Like a KOM competion...I use any tool at my disposal to win an arguement as well.' Yeah that's not pompous.

the person who made the point you answered, wasn't 'whining' they were simply pointing out some local effects of the power war in a thread about motor power.

You obviously enjoy mocking people ; perhaps they were right when they said you need to work on your self esteem...

Imagine someone in a bike shop considering two similarly priced and equipped bikes, except one has more power. Not many are picking less powerful option; especially the less experienced and knowledgeable consumer. It’s that simple.
Yeah, and if riding with mates with more powerful bikes its less fun with a bike mismatch too. So its better to have the power and not use it often than not have the power and be missing out or in the hurt locker on the more powered group rides.

Yeah, the arms race has ruined racing and strava koms and just general mated goofing around racing and challenging each other.

I too preferred in when all the full power motors were at a similar power. Its kinda less fun now.
It’s only less fun if you don’t have an M2s. Winning! 🤘🏻😂

Nah, cause its a hollow victory if the motor won the race not the rider. Far more fun between mates when ya on an even playing field. Then when you clean that section or beat that fast mate ya know its skill thats got it.

But when is it ever an even playing field in life between mates? Whether it's better golf clubs, squash racket, skis, or EMTB. One of your mates will have better equipment if they can get it. Your best option is to be that mate with the best equipment.

My mates live to beat each other. And In skiing and EMTB, I am normally victorious. And I couldn't care less if my equipment is giving me those wins. But in Golf, Tennis and Squash there are others who win. And they also don't care if it's their equipment that's giving them the edge. Between mates. A win is a win. And the beer tastes better after a win regardless. :ROFLMAO:

Back in the prehistoric days of 2015, I was in a local enduro race with my club, all but one of us were on enduro bikes, but one slower club member had an EMTB (probably a haibike). After one of the most physical stages he came up to us shouting "Guys, did you see the times? I nearly beat you on that last one!". So I can confirm that people are happy to ignore any amount of material advantage when it suits them!

Anyway, hope this comment doesn't set off another page of responses flaming me from people with limited reading comprehension and social skills.

You're still the KOM of Class 1 bikes, so you've got that going. Extra embarrassing when you still beat them!

With the couple of mates im thinking of one has a m1 dji velduro, i have bosch crestline and the other mate shimano pivot shuttle lt.

Motors notwithstanding all 3 bikes are pretty darn capable steeds. We are mostly racing each other on the downs so motor is less important. But sometimes it is. shimano pivot guy is definitely at an disadvantage when a whack of motor power is needed.
