2026 Yeti LTE

Anyone who has ridden in the UK winter slop make sure you regularly change your bearings. Ive just done mine and the collets in the lower link were an absolute pig to remove, I expected some corrosion but they were completely shot. The bearings were corroded to the collets and required a lot of force to remove. The only way to currently buy the collets is by buying a full rebuild kit around £300.

The 2027 LTE’s were announced/released and most stuff stays the same except the prices went up. T3 model gets the Race motor and a different dropper post.

Damn this new LT looks absolutely fantastic. I wish the features/geo of the LT was implemented into the LTE.

Just saw that new LT. Nice looking bike. I’ve heard a lot of rumors of a new TQ 120 nm motor. With this new LT, I could see them fitting it into this frame design easily. The LT looks to have a battery size down tube already. That would make for and epic bike. The TQ is a really nice motor. Very natural feeling and silent.

Oh word? I haven’t seen anything on a new tq, what have you heard? I love the feel of the tq in the mte.

Go read in the Trek forum on this website. There is a thread on TQ 120 nm Fuel EX. In that thread there is discussion of Yeti, which would make sense given Yeti was shortly after Trek in adopting the TQ motor on a bike.

Yah, the LTe was a primary contender for new bike for me but I went with the Wild.

It would be REALLY hard to resist a new Yeti with Sixfinity and the TQ120. I also own a TQ60 and it's such a gem of a motor system.

OT: but if they release a frame only 140 pedal bike with the Sixfinity I'll likely swap my Smuggler frame out, even though I love that bike. The motivators would be longer chain stays and the rear suspension although some glossy paint would be nice as well.

Im just going to add some positive feedback in relation to my post above about the LTE collet axles, we seem quick to post negative feedback but very rarely post positives. Mike at silverfish-uk has hooked me up with some new collet axles for the LTE just thought they deserved some positive feedback. A major thing for me when buying a bike is being able to deal direct with the importer or manufacturers to get issues resolved, by far the best to deal with is santacruz a lot could learn from them.

Back to the collet axles it looks to me like they are comming dry from the factory, I would recomend anyone with the sixfinity check their collets and grease them especially if you ride in the uk winter slop. The 3802 bearings used are quite expensive, so its also worth checking, cleaning and re greasing them regularly. Im currently experimenting with some cheaper Chinese 3802s ill see how long they last in the uk winter and report back.
