I lost my keys out riding today, so I'm down to one key for the battery. It may be cheaper for me to replace the cylinder altogether with two new keys than try to source a new key. Anyone know a source of these? Trelok is the manufacturer but so far I'm only seeing them in places like ebike 24 who won't post to the UK under £135 spend.

When we purchased our Trek EMTB’s the keys, for the battery lock, came with a card attached just in case a new key had to be ordered. (I’ve never lost those keys btw).

I really thought reordering a spare or new key would be a fairly easy process through a (Trek) dealer. How much could a key cost?
I’m in the arduous process of eliminating the battery key system. I don’t need the battery lock key but some do. Besides, the entire lock mechanism is heavy and sometimes unnecessary. (For me anyway).

If you have a local Timpson that should be your first port of call.

Ebay mayhaps

Well waddya know. Trelok do a replacement service. Already £30 lighter from Timpsons cutting replacements for the house keys & they didn't think the battery key could be done but looks academic now anyway. £12.40 delivered. Happy with that.

Hopefully that also caps the week which began with disturbing a wasps nest & ending up stung six times, an emergency wisdom tooth extraction, losing my keys and being stung AGAIN by something that flew into my helmet yesterday.
