RockShox REVERB AXS Dropper Seatpost B1 or B2?

I am thinking about replacing my existing cable dropper with a wireless one, the Rockshox Reverb AXS looks good to me and is just about in my price range, though I am open to other suggestions. There are currently 2 Reverb AXS models available the B1 and B2, the B2 features a USB-C port for recharging the battery in situ, which would be nice, but does anyone know what other differences or improvements it has to justify it's nearly €100 more price tag and advise me on which model to go for?

There are no other changes to the dropper apart from the charging.

A discounted B1 is better value.

It's a great dropper, BUT... The collar for the battery is huge, couple that with the chunky seat connector and the seat sits quite a bit higher above the frame. Depends how much that matters to you.

Thanks for that and yes I did notice the extra height above the frame which with my short legs means I have to go for one with less travel. The KS Rage Circuit wireless dropper with the battery under the saddle looks like it might be a better alternative and comes complete with battery and controller but seems to be hydraulic and I'm not sure about that, also it is not available in the 34.9mm size so I would need a reducer which is also not ideal.:unsure:

The original AXS has the battery under the seat, but on some bikes the wheel could pop the battery off. Not great mid trail!

I would really like someone to make a main battery powered dropper, with a low collar profile.
 
I was all set to order a RockShox AXS Wireless dropper seatpost that fits me and the bike but what actuator? Looked all over but the only online shop, I have found, that has the Reverb AXS Controller in stock is located in Switzerland and does not ship to the EU or anywhere else, all the rest are out of stock with no indication of when they will be available again. Anyone know anywhere where I can buy the controller (see attached pic.) or what alternatives are possible and available?

There's a vid on youtube where the guy makes an adapter so he can put the battery under the saddle out of the way.

Not sure if I could even get one of the original ones in the right size, some places still have a few in stock but strangely not at discount prices and anyway judging by that vid, buying the updated B1 or B2 is the better solution.

Biketart.com have stock.
 
You may or may not have less dropper travel.

Because of rear tire clearance I ended up with the same 200mm travel on the AXS dropper as what I would have had with a OneUp, just because my dropper cannot go any lower without contacting the rear tire at bottom out so a OneUp would require a travel limiting shim. I'm 179cm for the record on a L MX Wild.

I have been pretty anti-electronic overall but, in this case, it's a weight penalty that I'm glad that I made. Also, I've never had a bike this quiet and the lack of cables is certainly a factor.

Any AXS button will work to actuate the dropper. Mine came with the dual paddle shift and both buttons would actuate the dropper. I ended up buying the button you posted because I personally like that design better. In the end, it’s what suits you and what is available that matters.

Yes thanks for that but its €40,- more expensive than the single button version (€79,99)and I have no plans to change from Shimano for shifting. I think I will hold off for a week or two and see if they come back in stock, very odd that they seem to be completely sold out in Europe but plentifully available in the UK. At worst Tweeks Cycles in the UK have them in stock and do ship (for a big price, brings it up to just under €100,-) to Germany (BikeTart don't) or I have a friend coming over from the UK in June who could bring me a locally purchased one for around 70 GBP.
 
I prefer the single button origional remote, I purchased a few of them for 30 to 40 pounds on ebay. I seem to remember that they had to stop selling the single button due to it not meeting eu or usa rule changes regarding the battery being a choke hazard.

I want that remote as I really don't love the 2 button set up I have currently.

Can you direct me to the item and is it compatible with my B1?
