Just last weekend I was talking to a friend about my interest in trying a different tire (set), but I've been reluctant because I'm very happy with my dual Assegai MaxxGrip DH setup. Well, I think Dunlop's new Geomax tires might break though my resistance when they become available.
Because I want the softest compound, it makes my decision easier. I'm planning on trying their Geomax MB34 Downhill since that's the only (DH) model with their Ultrasoft compound. The shorter knobs in their MB53 model is interesting for my Arizona conditions, but I want (demand) the softest compound, so I've ruled it out for me. Others will justifiably, feel differently.
Planning to revisit this eventually with a ride impression. Availability is June.
