If governments and their climate-doomsday political backers have any say, then yes!

The new tire will be made of decomposable organic matter to eliminate any lasting negative effect on the environment. To engineer this material, the government will transfer tax-payer monies to the appropriate companies (the one's that make the most political donations) to perform the necessary research to develop this world-saving product.

The tires will be manufactured in a government-subsidized (see taxpayer again), "sustainable" factory powered by environmentally-friendly pixie-dust and unicorn-farts. Since it will take years of government-funded research to perfect the pixie-dust and unicorn-fart power system and since the tire needs to be implemented asap to save the planet, a "temporary" factory will be built in a non-disclosed, third-world county which "may or may not" use a petroleum-based power plant to power this new "sustainable" factory.

To ensure the safety of the planet, each tire will completely decompose within 2 months or 200 miles, whichever comes first. This is to ensure a necessary replacement-cycle that will generate enough revenue to allow those that mandated this sustainable tire and those that will build it's sustainable product network, to live in a lifestyle which they so richly deserve.

There will be an environmental tax on each tire to "offset" the impact that the tire makes on the microscopic organisms that will be crushed during it's usage. Said tax will fund new government programs that will employ thousands of people to study the potential extinction of these micro-organisms.

There will be an "educational" tax on each tire to provide funds for politicians and tire-producing corporations to fly their private jets to environmental conventions to educate the world's leaders on how this tire is saving the planet due to its sustainability.

So yes, you may tell your friend that the new tire will in fact, be sustainable.

All enduro/DH ebikes should have a removable battery. Those bikes are mostly suited to lapping bike park/enduro/DH trails, using max power on the fire road climbs, so the battery will need swapping every 1-2 hours. Current "fast" chargers are not a substitute as they still take 1.5-2.5 hours to fully recharge.
 
There should be more super-enduro/DH ebikes with 200mm travel, dual crown compatibility, removable battery, Avinox motor. But they should still have a steep seat tube and long dropper post as they will be used for self-shuttling, sometimes up steep tracks. The Crestline seems to be the only bike that sort of meets these criteria, but the seat tube is oddly long (450mm on a large), which makes it unsuitable for riding steeps unless you have massive legs, and of course it's rare and expensive.

My gravel bike has a dropper post, I also have a Fat Bike… neither have a suspension fork, that’s what my Enduro, Hardtail, E-bike and DH bikes are for
 
Probably not that controversial, but there should be a lot more frame-only options. Most serious riders have their own preferred components, so they don't want to waste money on a complete build. That said, I think most frame makers get the components for next to nothing, so a frameset wouldn't cost much less than their base model, and they'd make less profit on it.

I stripped all the OE parts that I didn’t want from my Kado, put on the parts I wanted, then sold the OE stuff to offset the cost.

Using Black Friday sales to buy my bits, then waiting a couple of months for the Black Friday and January sales to calm down to sell my bits, I ended up bolting on £1500 worth of parts that cost me about £500.
 
Drivetrains are a consumable item.

If you’re running a 12 speed (especially on an e-bike) you’ve probably got more money than sense

I’d rather run a Box 9 Speed with an 11-50 range that shifts ok but lasts 3-4 times longer and the whole drivetrain costs less than a SRAM cassette.

Huh. I've been using XT Linkglide 11s because I want the 11-50t range and didn't think there was an option with fewer gears or a lower price. Is there a particular Box groupset you'd recommend? Does it shift well under power? Is durability comparable to Linkglide? The prices and weights actually look similar to or higher than Linkglide so I'm not sure it would be better unless it lasts a lot longer or performs better (e.g. smoother shifts). Do you have any data on that?

Unpopular opinion #1: (maybe no one agrees, total addressable market: like 5 people)
They should make dirt jumpers with 50Nm motors and 200Wh batteries. Just to help get to the pumptracks/jumps and make them more usable in general.

Unpopular opinion #2: (Less pushback as time goes on, total addressable market: like thousands of people)
Most likely my kids will only ride ebikes after the age of 10. They should make more ebikes for kids, again ~50Nm with 2-400Wh of battery.

Unpopular opinion #3: (People have done this on this forum, total addressable market: Hundreds of us?)
Use DH cassettes with 26t chainrings on DJI level motors. Huge weight and clearance advantages. I think a more popular variant of this is to make a 10-40t cassette with around 8-10 gears specific to ebikes. It isn't for everyone, but after racing at a high level of enduro for years in the alps, people massively overestimate the range needed on their cassettes, especially the "fast" gearing.

I’ve been using Box2 Prime9 for years on my Enduro, Hardtail and Fat bikes.

Currently running the standard Cues 11spd that came on my Kado till it’s worn out and I don’t shift under load so I don’t know about that too much

Shifting can be a bit agricultural but I don’t mind for the price and the wear rate. Although I am impressed with the Cues so far.

On my Enduro bike the first Box drivetrain lasted 3 years of hard use before I had to change.

Box now do a V2 Prime9 which promises better shifting but I haven’t tried that yet.

It’s not about the number of gears… it’s about the gear ratio

My Box drivetrain has 9 gears but an even spread from 11t to 50th

There’s nothing I can’t climb with that that you can with 12cogs. (Unless skill becomes a factor, then I may struggle 😂)

Box and Linkglide/CUES already do basically that, although the Box ebike version has a 12t small cog to spread the load over more teeth. But I want a bigger range, so I can climb steep stuff without burning up too much battery.

I hated mudguards & thought they looked ridiculous for most of my pedaling life... until I took a stone to the eye. Bad juju. Now I sport a set of SKS clip on guards. (& a bulletproof set of shooting glasses) On in a sec, off in the same, sans the expensive visit to the eye doctor.

Tires (tyres)... round air donuts that don't taste very good, but it is all personal preference. (...and location, location, location)

Derailleurs- not everyone can afford a German Rolloff internally geared hub, nor want one. I can work on an external derailleur & repair it in a snap on the trail. Simple, a reasonably inexpensive transmission, & usually backwards compatible.

Adding this to the discussion: I miss my old SRAM twist shifters.
 
Screens showing Speed built into eMTB's are distracting and generally crap

people who talk about hitting a brick wall when their limiter kicks in aren't using their gears properly

tyres weigh too much
 
If Riders are so worried about motor power, and upgradites, why they don't know something as simple as tire pressure?
