I have not ridden either but my 12 and 15 sons both have the meta sx and they are just sensational bikes. How is the E version compared to the normal when going down hill?? Are the ride characteristics the same but just the normal emtb differences? if so then this could be a cracker of a bikeI have the regular SX too and yes it’s difficult to find a good grip if you have to lift it. They’re both very similar which was part of the appeal to me

That sound great. I was surprised that it didn’t come with 170 38’s. Wonder if you could put 180 38’s on it. The Shocks eye to eye on both bikes are the same so in theory a 65mm stroke shock will fit, as it does on the regular v5 SX. Btw, is there any reference number or something about the shifter cable (battery) which connects to the avinox m2s motor? (smooth shifter) I will change the Eagle 90 to GX ASX and would to connect the shifter to the motor, but no idea which is the cable for this new motor.

oh man, what a beauty... enjoy and nice components! I am still waiting for my Pure White Rockshox version... until July!!! 2 months!!Recieved my Meta SX avinox a few weeks ago now. I ordered last July! Have to say this thing is beautiful. Switched out to a ZEB, my own carbon wheels and bar and updated brakes to TRP pros. Bike is agile, poppy and fun! The M2s is insane power. Im coming off an Ekano with the SRAM motor which I felt had ample power but this drive. unit is just next level. I have the bike down to 54 lbs in a size XL. would like it a bit less but oh well. All in all im a fan so far.

Realistically that's a good weight for an XL alloy bike with those tyres, so I guess 25kg builds with alloy wheels is pretty achievable after all.

I've contacted the bike shop where I placed my order and they tell me that, for now, there shouldn't be any problem with that date, but we'll have to wait a bit longer (June) to have more certainty about the deliveries. I hope there are no problems... because I'm seeing future delivery times and they're pushed out to December! Crazy! By the way, I'm saying all this from Spain; I don't know how it is in other countries. What is certain is that it's not just Commencal — all the brands are giving very crazy delivery times, Avinox must be overwhelmed.Hi, have deliveries already started?

And yes, it's surprising not to see many reviews about Commencal (though it's true you don't see many for other brands either... and for the ones you do see, I understand they've prioritized giving certain bikes to famous reviewers, but come on, this isn't new for Commencal... they don't do a lot of "marketing"; their marketing is in "competition" and showing results there, not in "reviewers" giving their opinions).

I was concerned a bit about the weight as well until I rode it. My ekano CF is a few lbs lighter but honestly I wouldn't know it at all the way the Commencal handles. It felt a lot more lively and responsive honestly. Maybe it's the motor being able to offset it but my fears are put to rest. I think the goal for Ebikes should be the push to reduce weight and overall size to power ratio as time goes on. Aesthetically, I like it but will always like the push to get its close to analog frame size as possible.So am I. Andy Sykes' review is the only one I've seen.
I popped into their new Andorra HQ when I was in northern Spain last November and had a look at it. It certainly looked very tasty with their glossy paintwork, but none of their display bikes had pedals on them so you couldn't even ride them around the carpark. I like aluminium bikes, but am disappointed to see how heavy they'll be. Will have to see how future reviewers find how it handles.

As a result of low stock across all brands, I'm starting to see people selling bikes on the second-hand market for a higher price than in the store or direct from the brand. Basically, seeing that waiting times can stretch to the end of the year, they're pricing used bikes higher than new ones, which is not good at all (bikes with Avinox).This is more of an Avinox thing than Commencal. Placed a deposit for pre-order back on Aug 9 sor a size L Podium build, recepit said delivery 04/15. Just got off the phone with Commencal Canada and they said there's a container of them on a boat somewhere scheduled to hit port June 20th. So late June/Early July for delivery at the Squamish showroom.
Of course the delays may be due to a single component in the build, so different builds may have different timelines.
