• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Hi guys,
the Levociraptor team received the new Levo Gen4 and immediately started to analyze it. Specialized changed the electrical connectors and made adjustments to the communication protocol. Unfortunately Specialized closed the security gap that Levociraptor used to enable the motor assistance over 25km/h. We are thinking about what to do now.

One possible solution could be to hack the speed sensor with a special cable, but this would add complexity to the installation of the Levociraptor. The simplicity of the installation has always been one of the principal characteristics of Levociraptor. Therefore we initially tried to copy our historical design.

The adaptation for the Levo Gen4 will therefore more time and efforts due to the amount of changes. However once the new design is ready, everyone can expect a reliable solution, manufactured according to the highest standard which will be waterproof and contain original connectors to avoid any electrical issues. On top of that we are planning to let the new Levociraptor collaborate with BLEvo in order to allow the users of Levociraptor to use BLEvo again on their new bike like they used the features and benefits before.

What do you think?

As the firmware from other countries support Class 3 as standard, I wonder if a chip or software trick that we could purchase to unlock different countries firmware would be something to look into. I belive the amflow it's just a VPN to trick region but we don't appear to have an option to even look for new firmware as far as I can see.

Great, can't wait, but how long do you think it will take to develop a reliable solution - is it weeks or months?

Next week I will receive the first prototype, but I think for selling the product I need months..

After long time I'm very happy to communicate that we are ready for production of the new Levociraptor Gen4 for Specialized Levo G4..
The time was needed to build-up the production of the new special connectors for the Levo G4.
From middle of May 2026 it will be ready for sale. Maybe some dealers will open the pre-order in advance.

Here the characteristics of the new device.
Same features as the Levociraptor Gen3 like:
● Speed limit selectable via Bluetooth with dedicated free App or BLEvo
● Barometer* for altitude calculation and Thermometer* for logging ambient temperature
● Crash detection* with message notification with GPS position
● Automatic restore of the speed restriction after crash*
● Firmware updatable via Smartphone
● Real speed and distance will be shown on the MasterMind TCU or external devices like Garmin, Turbo Connect etc.
● Show MasterMind TCU data (biker power, motor power, battery level, assistance %, etc.) within BLEvo

New features:
● Dedicated connector for Levo G4
● Easy to install special cable for speed sensor
● Enjoy again BLEvo Smart Power also with the Levo G4
● Different way to activate/deactivate the speed restriction
● Realtime activation/deactivation (no need power off/on cycle)

Questions for @Levociraptor ...

I have a brand new S-works Levo R I picked up this week. ( S-Works Turbo Levo R ) While it’s based on the Levo 4, want to make sure the Gen 4 Levociraptor kit that is coming out will be fully compatible before I place may order to have it shipped to California.

OH! and my wife is *very* petite and the only decent eMTB she could fit on is the Specialized Turbo Levo SL Kids ( Turbo Levo SL Kids ) She’s had it for about a month and I want to know if there is a Levociraptor version (Gen 3?) that would open up her bike. That thing comes stock locked to 10Mph, and you have to get the dealer to open it up to 15.5Mph (we had it done). Maaaaan that still feels slow now. I think she will bang against that low limit at some point fairly soon. What Levociraptor version is recommended?

I’ll be ready to place an order for probably both once I hear for sure one or both have compatible kit.

Thanks in advance!

I would like to know if it's any possibility in any shape or form to find out if the Levociraptor has been used on the bike even though it's removed.

I'll add onto what @Polar was asking and ask if you do have to reset the bike in some form before going in to the LBS, does that mean it forgets things like settings and the odometer? This sounds similar to when you have to reset and redownload ECM settings for a car that has a custom engine tune before going into the dealership. Thx.

Even though it's removed LBS can look at riding history, play around with all metrics and find exactly what Levociraptor customers don't want them to find.
Prove me wrong!

Speaking from personal experience—I’ve been using a Levo Gen 3 with the Levocireptor Gen 3, and during regular maintenance and firmware updates at a lbs over the past three years, the dealer hasn’t noticed anything unusual (I always removed the Raptor before each service).
But I’m sure that with a thorough analysis of the log files, a technician could certainly figure out what needs to be figured out (because if the motor is still putting out 600 watts at 30 km/h and an 80-rpm cadence, it all makes perfect sense, and I can’t imagine that this could be hidden). However, the dealer or the manufacturer must also have a reason or a need to carry out this analysis.
