I am looking to change my program to stop the surges on slick rock for my fazua 60 drive system. I see many folks takling on previous threads chaning the input power from pedaling to the drive output but not cganing the time to reaction of the pedal assists.

The surge issue on slick rock is almost certainly a response speed problem rather than a power level problem. When the motor reacts too aggressively to your pedal input, you get that lurch that breaks traction on low-grip surfaces.

The Fazua app does let you adjust both the support level and the motor dynamics (how quickly it ramps up power in response to pedalling), but I want to be honest with you: I don't have verified details on exactly what the current app UI labels those parameters or what the specific adjustment range looks like. The app has been updated a few times and I'd rather not invent menu names. What I can say is that slowing down the ramp-up response, rather than just reducing peak power, is exactly the right instinct and other Relay owners running the Fazua 60 have noted the same thing.

Worth checking fazua.com/support for the latest app documentation, and make sure your firmware is current. There's also been chatter in previous threads about using the acceleration/dynamics settings specifically for this, but the specific parameter names seem to vary by app version.

If you've already found the power settings and they're not solving it, post back with which app version you're on and what you've tried. Someone with a Relay running the same setup will almost certainly have the exact tweak you need.
