Levo Gen 4 Levo EVO Rumor Thread – Longer Travel Levo Coming?

What in the sweet depths of Hades is that!?
Good lord.

Well the levo 4 didnt do as well as we hoped, so we did the levo r and people said not enough travel, so we did the levo evo and people said our bike looks like a motorbike cause its so thick...so here we have the Levo 4RE MOTO: its you only fatter

The Levo 4, Levo R, and Levo EVO all run a fork with 10mm more travel than the rear suspension. If you want the geo to be as close to stock as possible while using the EVO link, a 180mm fork is required; just like the EVO comes with. Sure you can put a 170 fork on but you’re going to steepen the geo 4° from intended.
Ideal combination with 170mm fork on stock levo with 170 linkage is to put chainstay to long settings, it will have similar angles like Evo just with little bit lower BB height

Weird that there seems to be some level of resistance to using a 180mm fork. There’s a prescribed; known-good solution directly suggested by the manufacturer. Why deviate?
It's not resistance. Just saying that both are fine to use. If someone already has a 170mm fork and doesn't want to spend the money on a new air spring then why not? I find you position of not considering anything but a 180mm lest you deviate at all from the manufacture's spec oddly constrained.

If you already have Stock gen 4 levo with 170mm fork and want new linkage, you dont need to buy 180mm fork or 180 mmm airshaft, otherwise you are right

Lots of weight hate at Levo 4 and total silence when the new ebikes at similar weight with another motor is released in high speed.

I’m operating under the likelihood that a Levo 4 owner would be running a 160mm fork and needs to buy a new spring/fork. The obvious choice is what is recommended by the manufacturer, a 180mm fork. It has to be a very small percentage of Levo 4 bikes with stock linkage and 170mm fork. I haven’t even heard anyone here state that’s why they had a bias towards the undersized option. The question was posited, but it almost like some don’t like the answer. Odd.

I don’t think it’s an obvious choice if you want more travel whilst not throwing the geo out too much.

For some unknown reason you want only a little more travel, while having the geo close, but not ideal. Gotcha.

Quite a lot more travel on the back, a bit more on the front.. and a bit slacker but not much shorter.

Sounds ideal to me💪🏻

Hey. Has anyone put a coil shock on their Evo yet ??? Vivid air is great but I’d love a vivid coil / red spring
