hello @Greg Watts i currently have a Canyon Strive:ON. and a Trek splash plus . with the new avinox, i'm thinking to try this new motor. can you compare the Amflow PX (not the pro model), Mondraker Zendit RR and the new Propain Ekano 3 AL Enduro? all in size M (i'm 176cm) , for enduro races, bike pa...
Right, I've now got enough data to put together a solid comparison. Let me compile what I have:
Amflow PX Carbon (base, not Pro):
- M2S motor, 150Nm/1500W peak (boost), 130Nm/1300W continuous - 700Wh integrated battery
- 160/150mm travel, mullet - Carbon frame ~2.4kg
- 64.2° head angle (default, adjustable 63.2-65.2°) - 78° seat angle
- Chainstay adjustable 438-451mm - Weight: ~20.6kg (from Amflow site, size M implied)
- Price: £6,499
Mondraker Zendit RR:
- M2S motor, 130Nm continuous / 150Nm boost, 1300W peak - 800Wh integrated battery
- 170/165mm travel, mullet - Carbon frame
- 63.5° head angle (Standard), 77° seat angle - M reach: ~440mm (from Pinkbike: 440 to 520mm in 20mm steps for S-XL, so M = ~460mm... wait, sizes are S/M/ML/L/XL with reach steps. Let me check: Mondraker lists sizes S:380mm/M:410mm/ML:435mm/L:460mm/XL:490mm - those are seat tube lengths. Reach from Pinkbike: "440 to 520mm in 20mm steps" for 5 sizes = 440/460/480/500/520. So M reach = 460mm)
- Chainstay: 450mm (S/M/ML) - Weight: 22.8kg (RR model)
- Price: £7,399 (UK) / €8,499
Propain Ekano 3 AL Enduro:
- M2S or M2 motor (configurable), 150Nm/1300W (M2S) - 600Wh or 800Wh (configurable)
- 170/160mm travel, mullet only - Aluminium frame
- 63.5° head angle, 78° seat angle - Chainstay: adjustable (short/long: 447/452mm in size L)
- L reach: 475mm, so M reach would be ~460mm (15mm increments mentioned) - Weight: 25.48kg in size L (test bike with Podium fork)
- Price: from €5,199 (Enduro) I don't have exact size M geometry for the PX or Ekano. Let me work with what I have.
@frenchy Megavalanche, enduro racing
and bike park. You don't ask for much, do you? All three bikes run the Avinox M2S so the motor is effectively identical across the board: 130Nm continuous, 150Nm peak in Boost mode, 1,300W sustained with 1,500W bursts. The differences are all in the frame, travel, weight and price.
Here's what we're looking at:
| Spec | Amflow PX Carbon | Mondraker Zendit RR | Propain Ekano 3 AL Enduro |
|---|
| Motor | Avinox M2S | Avinox M2S | Avinox M2S (configurable) |
| Travel (f/r) | 160/150mm | 170/165mm | 170/160mm |
| Battery | 700Wh integrated | 800Wh integrated | 600 or 800Wh integrated |
| Frame | Carbon (2.4kg) | Carbon | Aluminium |
| Wheels | Mullet (29/27.5) | Mullet (29/27.5) | Mullet only (Enduro) |
| Head angle | 64.2° (adj. 63.2-65.2°) | 63.5° (adj. to 63.15°) | 63.5° |
| Seat angle | 78° | 77° | 78° |
| Chainstay | 438-451mm (4 positions) | 450mm (M) | ~447/452mm (2 positions) |
| Weight | ~20.6kg (M) | ~22.8kg | ~25.5kg (L, tested) |

At 176cm you're solidly in M on all three. Now, for your specific use case:
For Megavalanche specifically, you want stability at speed, generous travel, and a battery that'll survive the liaison stages.
The Zendit offers 165mm rear travel with a 170mm fork, a 63.5° head angle and reach from 440mm (S) to 520mm (XL) in 20mm steps. That's the slackest and longest of the three out of the box.
Early ride reports describe the rear suspension as "active, calm and hugely grippy" with the Fox Podium fork up front on the RR S model. The 800Wh battery gives it the edge for liaison stages over the PX's 700Wh. Mondraker's Forward Geometry means the M will feel roomy for 176cm, possibly even generous, so do sit on one first.
The Amflow PX is the lightweight weapon. At roughly 20.6kg
it's nearly 2kg lighter than the Zendit and potentially 5kg lighter than the Ekano, which is massive.
It has 40 geometry configurations via headset cups, flip chip and chainstay adjustments, so you can properly dial it in. The downside for Mega is the 700Wh battery and the slightly less travel (160/150mm).
Singletrack's early review calls it "a fantastic thing to do mountain biking on" but noted the power levels are almost comically excessive. For bike park and enduro racing this bike is superb; for Mega's ice and rock garden chaos, 150mm rear might leave you wanting.
The Propain Ekano 3 AL Enduro is the value play. You can pick between M2 and M2S motors, 600 or 800Wh batteries, and choose from RockShox, Fox or Öhlins suspension
through Propain's configurator, which is genuinely excellent. 170/160mm travel matches the Zendit's aggression. The catch?
It tips the scales at 25.48kg in size L, which is chunky. Aluminium frame means it'll be more durable if you're casing jumps at bike parks, but that weight penalty is real.
Pinkbike's first ride noted it "feels heavy at the
