Atherton S170.E Dyf-E bike coming soon...

The whole point of the pre-order / final payment was to get numbers so they can order parts and start production. The balance was 28th Feb so they've had our money for a month and 9 days, a few months is a bit of an exaggeration.

Not sure what people expected but it always said "The full reveal and final product details will be published at official launch in April 2026. Pre-orders are open now, with delivery scheduled for April and May..". At that point most people thought it would be Sea Otter or somehting later in April so not the 9th.

If it's beyond May then I'll be a bit frustrated/annoyed but probably more jealous than anything else. What I'm 100% sure of is they're going to ride better than the Amflows, Megamos, etc and will be worth the little wait.

Yeah, but amflow and avinox are the same. Will get priority on motors. Atherton is very small in comparison. I would of expected Atherton to have them well in advance though. So would be odd. I do know my mates Atherton 170 was 2.5 months late.

I really want to support them, but also I'm not waiting half of the good weather riding season for a bike that should be ready

I waited like 6 months for my Forbidden last year and lost the whole summer 😂


Was worth it though so same will go for the Atherton. Surely you have a bike at the moment anyway to tide you over if its late?

Nope, just my dh bike. Point being paying early, shouldn't have to wait 🤷 will find out the score from them tomorrow. Drop them a text and see what they say. Mid may I have a biking holiday for two weeks and need an eeb.

Main reason I chose Atherton was support the project. Love what they are doing and I'm at the park every week. Know quite a few of them well. If it was 500 and pay the rest on delivery, fair enough. Paying 9k in Feb and now left not knowing what's going on, not ideal.

We will see. If it is to do with the way and batteries/motors delayed, I expect all the other companies using them will be delayed as well

Lots of Anflow dealers all have stock ready to deliver next week, so I don’t see why Atherton should have any delays for the first 50 run bikes at least. I will call tomorrow and find out when my bike is expected . Last I was told few weeks back was that build had started on first run.

I hear ya Highland Wheels, I lost all of last year after placing my order the after they announced, bike arrived, I was gone and they moved it on. So here I am, no bike and another undetermined, on a promise wait... again..:(:poop:

Spoke with them this morning. Told first run bikes on track for collection end if this month early next month, as originally planned. Will have tightened info dates after this Thursday. I am comfortable with that.
 
I wonder if the S170e.2 will get the new red 2027 ZEB. It would definetly alter the aesthetics of the bike but I've just watched the loam wolf video and quite like the look on the S170 he's used for the review
 
I wonder how long after the embargo is lifted on Thursday, we will have to wait for any video ride reviews to come out, for both the Atherton and new AMflow E bikes. I hear the new AMflow has already been tested by respected reviewers.

I know two big mtb sites tested the dyf-e in Spain last year over a week or so. So imagine they will drop Thursday

Loads has been filmed already, tonnes of content will hit on the 9th.

I know E-Mountainbike have been running it as part of the group test. I don't know if they'll put them all out on the 9th. They might want to spread them out a bit

Yeah, problem is, many are already in pre-order (secret squirrel access only), so when they drop, good luck getting one this year!! Most orders will already be placed and you'll have to get in line. I guess Amflow and Teewing will be an exception, seems like they have a bigger production capacity to most of the smaller boutique brands.

The Anflow dealer I use says he’s got enough orders for the new bike until after the summer next year. Picking mine up tomorrow morning, really looking forward to it.

You'll find there's a bigger more established brand that will have plenty new stock from day one thanks to DJI ownership

Thanks, interesting that they are saying it's not playful, the s170 has been mostly reviewed as a playful park bike...which is what I was hoping for

Yeah there's definitely more refined looking Avinox bikes out there. I guess it might appeal to the sort of person a Nicolai would appeal to.
