Greg, is there a coil shock that will fit a second generation Bosch powered Focus Jam2 without changing the shock linkage?

Right, @RustyMTB, this is a well-trodden path on your exact frame and the answer is: yes, but with a critical caveat about clearance.

Your 2022 Jam2 runs a 210x55 shock with 25x8mm hardware. The issue on the Bosch-motored frames is that the Bosch and Shimano motored frames have different rocker designs, so what works on a Shimano frame does not necessarily work on a Bosch frame. This matters because most of the early Jam2 coil threads are Shimano bikes.

The Marzocchi Bomber CR is the one with the most Jam2-specific success stories. It comes in 210x55mm, and someone on our forum fitted one to a Large Jam2 and reported

"a 500 spring on the large Jam2, 4mm clearance on the frame and it rides superb". That's tight but workable on a Large. The Cane Creek DB Coil IL also fits, though on a Medium it would not fit the right way up, so frame size is everything here.

The Fox DHX2 is trickier on your frame. One owner confirmed the Fox DHX 2022 doesn't fit and had to send it back. On the Medium Bosch frame specifically, another rider bought both the DHX and DHX2 and neither would clear the frame. They eventually

sourced a SAM2 main link which extends out further and it slotted in without any rubbing, but that's technically changing the linkage, which you want to avoid.
