Pivot Amp’d Avinox

I've watched an embarrassing amount of videos/reviews on the AF... like, every one. Read every article I can find on the subject.. (on the shelf for last several months from a surgical repair to ankle, so i got time) I think every piece of info I could find on it, the people talking about it who rode it, all said it was the best ebike on the market. I haven't ridden it, or any ebike, but there seems to be a consenous it's the best ebike for most people not doing Red Bull competition

Can't wait to own one :)

Soon as I can turn the cranks, Hello Amflow!!!
Think you mean from everything you have read the Amflow sounds like the best bike for you and I think you're gonna love it!

These threads all seem to take a turn really quickly however..

Pivot Amp'd release > Avinox vs Bosch > Amflow vs all etmb's!!? 🤷‍♂️

One thing is for certain Avinox has definitely made a mega mark on the industry in the ultra short time its been around. Seems to be leaving others in the wake of their accelerated r&d and multitude of features they are coming out with in addition to the raw power that takes no prisoners.

Brands are migrating as we speak.. and this level of competition will make all bikes better!

That Pivot looks sick..I'd be thrilled to own it...can't wait to see U.S. pricing. Might throw up in my mouth a little though. The still on sale '25 AF silver one for $6,500 is still in the running too, if both AF and Pivot decide their top offerings for 2026 cost a literal arm and leg.

If you are thinking of Avinox power in a top notch frame for a great deal, I'd suggest to take a peek at the Commencal Meta SX Avinox too!

Ride is the entry point at $7800, then upgrade as you prefer. Preorders being taken for a May delivery!

They have 5 offerings across the lineup to see what fits you best as well component and budget wise.

I don't agree at all, from my own experience. If you need that much power, it's no longer mountain biking honestly, as you don't need to put effort in hardly at all.
Since the day I learned how to ride a bike, its always been about the fun factor, not the effort factor.

Different strokes for different folks and all that jazz.

I think with the LT Pivot was too far along and they had probably already signed a deal with Bosch. Kinda hard to redesign a bike that was built for the CX motor. I suspect the next LT will have an Avinox motor.

I suspect you may be right, as Pivot will feel they need to follow fashion of what the market wants at that point. I can't imagine Bosch aren't working like hell to leapfrog Avinox though, as they're a huge global company with deep R&D budgets.
I'd love to see Maxon hurry up and get their Airdrive S out on more mainstream brands, as that looks better than all the current ones. Near silent, lighter yet full power, more efficient, smaller form factor, and no rattle like the Avinox M1 (which drove me nuts!) and earlier Bosch motors.

Got my gf the Amflow base bike for $6400 out the door and it had the mullet set up, and the shop gave her the upgraded Fox Shock. The bike is awesome at any price, and while I hear of many new bikes coming to Otter 2026, I believe most of the base bikes in carbon at going to be like 9k out the door with tax. My gf is a good rider, and the Amflow is beyond what she'll ever need, so wondering will all the new bikes with be worthy of the cost vs. the sweet $6400. Heck, the one I would want is probably going to be min 12k or even more with tax. Ibis will be coming out with their new ebike, wondering if it's Avinox too? Yes, 2026 will be a good year for bikes, but brace yourself because the 2027 bikes are going to be so much better than the 2026 bikes. lol.

...yeah i'm battling that right now in my head. I'm thinking the new AF's are going to cost several G's more than that sale price you took advantage of. ...and they'll go up from there.

$6,500 right now, for what you're getting, might be to much to pass up...

I'm hopeful they have at least one silver AF left at the sale price, when the new ones drop next week. I will feel like an idiot if they all sell out and then i'm forced to spend 9K, or more, on something that isn't THAT much better, in reality.

It's the new M2 motor and bigger (but not 900) battery. I just bought the Shuttle LT knowing this was coming. I still don't get the Avinox hype. I've done loads of miles on an AmFlow, and it's a great system, but genuinely and objectively no better than the latest Bosch G5 (G4.1). The power is totally unnecessary if you still want to pedal and work, there's still no range extender on either M1 or M2, and the M1 rattles.
Totally happy with my 21kg Shuttle LT which can be widely adjusted into different bikes, with the reliable, traction-rich, equally light G5 motor. Plus, I switch between 600 and 800 and 800+RE depending on the day out.
The Amp'd has a more handsome silhouette, but other than that, Shuttle LT all day long for me.
Style of bike first, Geometry preference next, Looks third, then the motor now becomes a qualifier, as all the motors are now superb.
Happy trails all 👍🏻
Your right about you don’t need extra power, but Bosch Gen 5 smart motor is so limited with inbuilt penalties ( limp mode for 90 minutes ) for fitting speed manipulation device that they didn’t tell us about. On the other hand the Avinox is not speed restricted and give you freedom. Avinox is head and above Bosch for that reason. Bosch has built in police state mentality

We'll agree to disagree! I'm derestricted on my CX-R G5 and had zero issues whatsoever 👍🏻🤷🏻‍♂️

Any leaked Geo specs on the AMP'd? Curious to see the Small vs Medium. Also heard the colors are Black with Berry or Black with White.

I wonder if Pivot will stick with Superboost?
Good question. It's initially a PITA to own, but I knocked up a 5-min adapter kit for any of my normal wheels to run Superboost. Now not a Biggie, and if it gives them design advantages, I'm no longer opposed to it.
What's your thoughts on SB?

Do you have a bunch of boost wheels your planning on swapping around? If not, then its a non-issue. Technically superboost is better, but boost is "good enough" as seen by the fact nearly everyone is running it.

Folks bring up swapping wheels around or reusing existing ones they own. I don't swap wheels around on bikes, unless I have a failure. In which case, I have a few boost and superboost so its a non-issue.

Fair play.
I am one who changes wheels, as both my me-bike and my e-bike are both geo-adjustable, and can both be run a light trail bikes or Enduro sleds, and a big part is the switch between Exo+ lightweight wheels and trail tyres, and the full DH tyres and strong wheels, which flips the weight and feel of the bike massively. My me-bike is boost, and my e-bike is SB, thus finding the solution to easily switch the wheels back and forth 👍🏻

Are small sizes achievable with the Avinox? I know the battery is slim, but it’s also really long. Genuinely curious about this.
RUMORS say XS and S will be available (for what it’s worth). Small is for sure

Superboost is a proprietary specification choice that has ruled out Pivots a few times for me, in spite of the fact that the bike was otherwise a very top choice. This is mostly because I just like to build bikes out of my favorite parts and reuse what I have instead of buying again.

Signed, a guy with headset cable routing.

You don't need new parts, just a basic adapter kit for your existing boost wheels 🤷🏻‍♂️

good luck trying to run transmission with that
I do....
I have run both T-Type and regular XD. Both fine. That's dictated by chainline, chainring offset and cassette offset, as they all take the same freehub.
As in my earlier post though, I choose not to, as eMTBs simply don't need wide range 12s. I run cable 11s with a Madrone mech. It's sublime.

i‘d like to see a picture of this setup
