Been fiddling with the power settings on my Kado and now the Surrey trails are dry it was time to try out the range and elevation in what I feel is the most reasonable setting for efficiency and fun instead of the full turbo power hour that all e-bike reviewers seem to do.

I set out this morning to see what would run out of energy first… me, or the bike

Not in the best condition to do this straight after 4 night shifts but it’s better than languishing at home bingeing box sets (I’ll do that tomorrow)

Me-
86kg
Tired
Old (51)

The bike-
Kado S
800wh battery
Set in custom Tour+ and left there for everything either up or down

Very impressed with the result… 33miles and 5500ft of climbing and set loads of PR’s on the way.

What broke first?

We’ll call it a draw, the bike was on 1% and I was finished…

My next challenge will be a 2 battery day at bike park wales, I reckon I’ve got 14 runs in the batteries but not sure if I’ve got that in my legs.

did those 2 hills yesterday they are running really nice! there's a few new wooden drops on the Holmbury St Mary side of the Hurtwood (au Naturale and on the other side of the Hurtwood car park) - if you didn't see them, you might wanna check em out next time...

Yeah, I’ve seen them, didn’t do them today as I was riding alone… didn’t seem like a good idea 🤣

there is one that is ridiculously high - I'll never do that one, the other 4 are fine - but yeah always do the silly stuff accompanied :D

My Smiles to Miles Trials continued yesterday … this time seeing what I could get out of the 600wh battery.

Similar trail conditions, warmer day and as before stayed in my customised Tour+ setting as above.

25miles, 4300ft of climbs 1% battery left at the end.

Pretty decent in my opinion.

Definitely bodes well for my 2 battery BPW idea. I reckon that’ll be more than enough juice to run out of daylight and riding time before I run outta battery.

Nice work. My best on my 750wh Trek Rail is 38.3 miles with 4580 feet, don't have the 95nm like you do though. Older gen 4 Bosch CX with 85nm. Most of mine was Tour+ though 70nm

One day I'm keen to try for 40-45+ miles and see how much I can squeak out of it using Tour+ on climbs and eco everywhere else.
