Replacemnt for Magura master cylinder, since they won't honor warranty or spare parts

Like many other on the internet a couple of year old Magura MT7 master cylinders are leaking, rear so bad it will work for an hour after a bleed, front works after pumping a couple of times. Magura on the site brag about 5 year warranty but refuse to honor it and also don't even provide spare parts. Well that's to be expected of german crap.


So what are the alternatives, I'm not paying 150€x2 for Magura that won't even last 5 years. What master cylinder for any other manufacture will fit?
Can I fit some Shimano master cylinder or are there different size on the hose? I really don't care about feel if they would just work.

Shimano levers are cheap like Deore, to a little more money like XTR.

Hmm forgot to mention it sadly has Sram shifter. Will it fit or do I need a bracket/adapter plate?

As far as your questions about using Shimano levers with Magura calipers, if you search the word "Shigura" on any of the popular MTB forums, or just Google the word, you'll get more info than you could ever hope for. Some people prefer the non-Servowave Deore or XTR SL levers, other people like the leverage-changing cam-equipped Servowave models.

As to the Sram shifter, you can certainly get it to work, but how to do it will depend on what your current mounting method and which Shimano levers you select. Once you pick a Shimano lever, use the official Shimano part number to search for suggestions, or just use a separate bar clamp for the shifter.

Ended up ordering the china kit after all. Replaced them and it seams to work.
The original seals where like plastic on the rear brake, the outer on the piston fell apart. I'm certain Magura is avare of this but just to greedy to even care. They could even provide a spare kit but no, shit on customers instead.

A company like that doesn't deserve to be in business
