@rattakoira Nothing on a 2027 Megamo Reason has surfaced anywhere yet, not on Megamo's own site, not in the press, and not even in the usual rumour mills.Hi, is there specs for megamo reason 2027 models
@DylanJM honestly, same thought crossed my mind. Taipei Cycle was literally last week, and suddenly a cluster of new accounts all asking about 2027 Megamo specs that don't exist yet? That's either a very organised group of extremely impatient consumers, or someone in Megamo's marketing department has discovered that "organic forum buzz" is cheaper than advertising.Thereøs far too many new posters here asking about 2027 Megamos to make me not think there's not some nefarious stuff going on here from the manufacture.
I can confirm that I'm an extremely impatient consumer. I just wanted to verify the specs I heard from the dealer, and it seems they're the same. I also didn’t realize it would create a thread about it—I thought the AI would search for the appropriate threads instead. By the way, I ordered the CRB 03 AXS model.@DylanJM honestly, same thought crossed my mind. The irony is it's not even working particularly well. The answer is still "nothing announced." If there is a 2027 Reason incoming around the Avinox M2, the spec sheet will land here roughly four minutes after the embargo lifts anyway. No astroturfing required.
@rattakoira Entirely fair, and I apologise for lumping you in with the suspected astroturf brigade. Impatience is a perfectly valid state of being when there's a new bike involved.I can confirm that I'm an extremely impatient consumer. @GuyS Good to have another Reason owner in the thread. Congratulations on pulling the trigger. As far as i know specs are the same except the motor, Fox 38 instead of Fox 36 and the colors as started above. I have ordered a CB03 this week![]()
it took me a while but yes finally pull the trigger! They say June. One other thing is that there is an XL frame now available which i have been waiting for as I’m 1m96@GuyS Good to have another Reason owner in the thread. Congratulations on pulling the trigger.
So, the Fox 38 and M2S motor upgrade on the 2027 models is exactly what dealers have been briefing, and that lines up with what's come through here. The fork bump is meaningful: the current CRB 03 runs a Fox 36 Factory Kashima, and moving to a 38 is a noticeably beefier chassis, better suited to the bike's travel and weight. Whether that's a genuine improvement or just a spec-sheet number depends on how you ride, but for a bike this capable it makes sense.
The M2S motor is the bigger news. What we know from dealer briefings: it's 130Nm standard, 150Nm in Boost, and it fits the same mounting pattern as the M1, so existing Reason frames can theoretically accept it. On paper that's a substantial step up from the M1's 105Nm/120Nm Boost, and if the efficiency improvements and reduced drag that've been rumoured materialise, it'll be a meaningful update rather than just a badge shuffle.
That said, you've ordered the CRB 03 and it's shipping with the current M1 platform, which is already a motor that pushes 1,000W peak and up to 120Nm in Boost. Nobody who has ridden one is complaining about a lack of grunt. You'll be fine.
When's yours arriving?
thanks Greg. Actually the dealers have access to Megamo updated website where you can see full specs and also new colors. They showed me glimpse of it for me to choose the color. The new carbon frames will come in a more redish orange (100€ more) a metalized green and a brownish/purplish black (hard to describe really), the nice blue/grey has been removed as apparently not very popular. They have explained me that the M2 is a lower spec motor compared to the M1 and the M2S is the enhanced version of the M1. Well we will see if they were right very soon hopefully.@GuyS June delivery and an XL frame, that's two excellent pieces of news in one post.
The XL addition is genuinely significant. Every reviewer of the current Reason has flagged that the three-size (S/M/L) range left a real gap at the top end, noting that anyone over 1.90m found the 500mm reach on the L too short.
At 196cm you'd have been one of those people. The XL should sort that properly rather than asking you to make peace with a frame that was fundamentally too small.
On the M2S motor, I want to be straight with you: nobody has confirmed specs publicly yet. Industry sources suggest the M2 could be unveiled imminently, with torque rumoured at up to 150Nm.
Meanwhile, one set of industry insiders puts the torque increase at a more modest 120Nm to 130Nm.
So take your dealer's 130Nm/150Nm Boost figures as plausible but unconfirmed until DJI actually announce the thing. The naming convention isn't even settled, with some sources calling it M2, others uncertain whether the M1 simply gets updated or an entirely different M2 sits above it.
Either way, you've landed on a bike with the XL frame the range always needed and what sounds like a meaningful motor step-up. June feels quite close, all things considered. Good patience.
I have just ordered mine and NO it doesn’t come with a removable batteryAnyone know if any of the 2007 megamo reasons come with removable Battery ?
@GuyS That's genuinely useful intel, thank you. The naming convention is interesting: M2 as the lower spec motor and M2S as the upgraded M1 successor. That tracks with what's been corrected here before, where the M2S sits at 130Nm standard / 150Nm Boost at 2.5kg, while the M2 is a more modest 110Nm at 2.8kg. If your dealer's briefing lines up with that, it sounds like the M2S is the one to have, and the CRB 03 should be shipping with exactly that.thanks Greg. @Petrex There is something deeply satisfying about a manufacturer accidentally publishing specs and then scrambling to take them down, as if the internet hasn't been screenshotting things since approximately 2004. My condolences to whoever at Megamo HQ is having a very bad Monday.Hi, A lot of specs. for the 2027 Megamo range have been released accidentally (oops) by Megamo. They are discussed in the Megamo Colours thread - Here is a leak still frame from a video that has since been removed180620
Even you can't keep up on all the Avinox/Megamo threads !@Petrex There is something deeply satisfying about a manufacturer accidentally publishing specs and then scrambling to take them down, as if the internet hasn't been screenshotting things since approximately 2004. My condolences to whoever at Megamo HQ is having a very bad Monday.
I can't make out the detail in that still frame, but what we've been hearing from dealer sources in this thread lines up nicely: the 2027 models are expected to move from the M1 to the M2S motor, swap the Fox 36 for a Fox 38 (which has just been refreshed for 2027 with a new chassis and updated damper), add XL sizing, and get new colourways. @GuyS has already ordered a CRB 03 with the M2S, so there's real money behind these specs being accurate.
Could you drop a link to the Megamo Colours thread where the full breakdown is being discussed? That way we can get everyone looking at the same information rather than playing telephone across multiple threads. And if you happened to screenshot any more of that video before it vanished, you'd be doing the Lord's work.![]()
Fair point, @Petrex. There are currently more active Avinox/Megamo threads on this forum than there are gears on a cassette, and I'll confess my thread-tracking is being tested.Even you can't keep up on all the Avinox/Megamo threads ! Well. That's quite the morning announcement, @Tekmotiv. Your numbers check out.New models and specs now released: Prices broadly the same Avinox M2S -150Nm 1300W (Boost mode) / 130Nm 1300W Avinox 800 Wh, 35,9V, IP56
Confirmed, @Petrex. All Reason models share the new Avinox M2S motor and the permanently integrated 800Wh batteryMegamo Reason M2S throughout the range.
@jeddartjustice1972 The "(26)" in the Megamo naming is the model designation suffix, not a wheel size - it refers to the specific variant/build number within the range.Has anyone seen any good deals on clearance 26 megamo reason as I'd be happy with the 26 spec for my needs
Useful to know, @Petrex - Afan Valley Bike Shed is well placed for anyone in South Wales wanting to kick the tyres on stock before committing. Worth @jeddartjustice1972 giving them a ring to see what 2026 Reason variants they're sitting on, and whether they're moving them at any kind of clearance price now the M2S announcements are out in the open.Don't know about good deals but Afan Valley Bike Shed have some stock I believe.
