Theoretically speaking, should this bike actually exist, I have my name on one. Again, theoretically speaking, a dealer may have had two of them available as allotments. April-may was the time frame, but of course after the fiasco with the druid-e, and the dji embargo, they're playing it pretty close to the vest.
I had a couple of e-druids on order, and gave up after their delivery dates got pushed back repeatedly, hopefully this ends differently. Love my dreadnought v2, would be perfect with a motor !

I'm hoping you're right. I'm in touch with my LBS at home and if I get an inkling the Dreadi-e is being released, albeit on a limited basis, I'll jump in straight away.

Further to supply issues etc, I've heard that given the massive uptake on the Amflow (rumoured to be 30,000 units sold), that Amflow commandeered a lot of the supply with other companies having to wait. Similarly, apparently Amflow sucked up a lot of the SRAM stock, so again, limited opportunities for the smaller companies.

So it will be interesting to see if Amflow do release a bigger travel bike, what effect that will have on supplies for other companies given I suspect there will be a huge demand for that bike. Avinox/DJI would surely prioritise their own company first.

We will see, interesting times!

The Teewing Flux hopefully isn’t much more then $8k aud when it lands, might be even cheaper if they offer a frameset.

I'd avoid SCOR... poor track record with their eMTBs (frames cracking). Regular also have issues too (trunnion bushings). I'd call it a freshman attempt at MTB and the business is murky waters.

Broke 2 rear triangles within 4 months on a 4060z LT. Plenty of reports of repeat cracked frames. Plus brand is "on pause" and pulled operations out of US.

Burned once... never again.

They don´t need to be at the Taipeh Show or Sea Otter

There will maybe more than enough bikes with the new motor ... think Avinox will launch the motor some time ahead of one of the shows and a big load of new bikes will be announced the days after: Atherton, Orbea, Mondraker, Whyte, etc. etc.

None of those companies will be at Sea Otter. Only Forebidden and Amflow itself will have a bikes to display. But the Bosch will be there in spades, with on of the biggest booths at the exhibit, and they will have bevy of bikes that attendees can actually demo on trails at Laguna Seca. I would be nice of Avinox or its cohort Amflow allow attendees to the same with their motor. That said, I can get why Avinox would not attend a US event due to DJI embargo executive orders, but not Taipei.
 
Manufacturers have been moving away from industry shows for a while now. Most are holding their own demos and release events these days.

That would explain the demise of InterBike and to degree Eurobike, but not Sea Otter, because it's a racing event that just so happens to have exhibitors. It's a better model and has has spread to Europe as well with Girona Sea Otter. And Taipei I feel serves a different purpose - its more for component and tech companies to show their wares to the bike companies that could incorporate tech, IOW the audience is B2B, whereas Sea Otter is B2C.

I don't think Avinox need a trade show at this point. They are well known now and the big brands have already approached them and started using their product. Whatever they do and whatever way they choose to unveil it to the industry doesn't really matter at this point, people will see it and hear about it regardless.

Well, with this approach none of the big brands would shop up.
If Avinox is ready with showing new motors/batteries.. Definitely would make a lot of headlines and dominate the news!
 
My guess is that the single most pressing aspect for Avonix is not creating more demand, it is developing the capacity for more production on the "supply" side of the equasion.

Pre-release launches are very common in my industry (audio/video) and I despise the practice. I’ve seen companies announce a product that never actually came to market! I always admired how Paradigm/Anthem handled new product announcements where they were ready to ship when they announced new products. Not sure if they still do business that way since it’s been quite a number of years since working for them.

Have you heard anything noteworthy about the batteries that you'll get on the Meta? Given that they confirmed the M2, I thought maybe they'd also confirmed the battery sitch on that bike.

No they’re staying tight lipped. Quoting 800 on the spec sheet but with a disclaimer that specs can change without notice. Im heading in there again on Monday so might press a bit more. 😬
 
So I take for M2/M1S there isn't an ISCG-style the motor casing mounts for mounting a bash guard?
